Villa Lilium is a 900sqm villa situates just a 5 minute walk from the sandy beach of Maleme, in the prefecture of Chania. The villa is built on five levels (including a traditional cellar), connected with elevator and stairs.

It offers eight bedrooms (two of them studios with kitchenettes), seven bathrooms, a fully fitted kitchen and spacious living areas. The villa is surrounded by a 4.000sqm garden with an 180sqm private pool, a BBQ area and spacious furnished terraces. Located so close to the sea, near shops and restaurants yet in a quiet spot, this villa is an ideal choice for large groups that are looking for an memorable vacation in Crete.

Villa Lilium has a 900sqm interior area. The villa is built on four levels plus a basement with a cellar which are connected with stairs and elevator. The ground floor consists of a fully equipped kitchen, a dining area for 12 people, a spacious living room with a fireplace, a small sitting area, a shower bathroom and a studio with kitchenette, WC, and a sofa which converts into two single beds. This level has a balcony which overlooks the pool and a second one which overlooks the garden.

On the first floor there are five bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king size bed, en suite bathroom with a shower and a Jacuzzi tub, TV, walk in closet and a balcony with views to the pool and hill. On this level there are also two twin bedrooms, two double bedrooms, a bathroom with a tub, a bathroom with a shower and balconies with tables and chairs.

On the second floor there is an attic with a double bed, a single bed (which can be used also as a sofa), an office, a shower bathroom and two balconies.

The lower ground level has a gym, a sauna (which guests can use on an extra charge), a laundry room and a studio with a double bed, a lounge chair which converts into a single bed, a shower bathroom, kitchenette, sitting area, dining area and separate entrance.

In the basement of the villa there is a traditional and beautiful wine cellar.

Villa Lilium has a 4.000sqm outdoor area with a beautiful lawn garden with tall palm trees. It offers a huge ;private swimming pool with a children’s area, sun beds and umbrellas.There is also BBQ area with a grill and traditional wood oven, a dining table for 12 people and a sitting area ideal for family and friends gatherings.

This beautiful holiday home is only 150m from the beach of Maleme where there are also restaurants and coffee shops and about 20km from the picturesque and lively town of Chania.

Lovely villa

We enjoyed a multigenerational family holiday at the villa. The villa is beautiful with most rooms having a private balcony. All balconies hav amazing views. All the bedrooms were well furnished and comfortable. The pool is well maintained and a very good size for swimming and games. Although, there is a gym the machines are outdated and not really very usable. The pool would be enhanced by perhaps having some inflatables for children and some sports equipment as the gardens are generous for games. The lounges were fine and the dining room excellent. The kitchen could do with some baking trays that easily fit the oven. There were only a couple of teaspoons on arrival but this was quickly remedied by katerina, the lead housekeeper who was excellent. She did a lot to make ourstay a good one. Unusually for a week’s let we had housekeeping clean the house while we were there. Katerina and her team maintain a very high standard of care for the house and gardens. She even baked a cake for us. We tried to use the pizza oven but failed miserably. There was no guidance on how to use which was a little disappointing. The villa is only a short walk away from maleme beach and some restaurants and bars. The supermarket next door was fine for basics and the supermarket a little bit away had fresh produce and more choice (maybe 500m from house so still not far). Overall, the villa is an excellent base for a family holiday. As mentioned Katerina’s hospitality warrants a special mention.

7 adults and 7 children may sound a lot but Villa Lilium/ Natali was the perfect location and property for all of them. The number of bedrooms allowed families to choose where to sleep and the number of bathrooms and en suite meant no queuing. The small kitchen, external seating area , barbecue and pizza oven meant we could go a number of meal varieties to suit all tastes. And….. the pool was fantastic large enough for all of us for games of volleyball and other water sports the children could dream up if they were not enjoying football, sometimes under the floodlights i the spacious garden. And the on-site service from Katerina and her team was excellent looking after us and even producing a homemade cake for us and incidentally on one of the children’s birthday. The whole family were amazed at the property , the pool, the surrounding space and the service we received. We couldn’t rate if higher.

Beautiful Property. Make sure #of guests is accurate prior to check in.

We booked the villa for a wedding and the venue was beautiful. Mary, the property manager, was very attentive to anything we needed and even brought us a cake that she baked. She was very sweet and made sure our stay went well. I cant say enough about her as she was wonderful!!! I was a little disappointed that the stone hot tub that flows into the pool wasn't working though. I believe that would have made the pool much more pleasant as it was freezing cold. Nonetheless we still enjoyed ourselves. We do plan on returning, however make sure you officially modify your booking through the app asap if the number of people in your party changes as the person listing the property is not so good with communication. We were charged €540.00 for "additional guests" fees when we booked for 15 people, even though we ended up with only 6 people actually staying. We reached out multiple times about this prior to our stay and got no response. I reached out again after check out and was told they wont refund us any money. Our celebrant did back into a light pole at the property when she was leaving, but we immediately notified them and were told that would be a 50euro charge, so that cant be the reason for no refund being issued. Considering there is 9 bedrooms, us being charged €540.00 for additional guests when there was just 6 of us was very disappointing. However, the property was AMAZING as were the views. Overall, we had a wonderful time!!!!!
