Literally one mile above the Blue Ridge Parkway @ 4,000 feet, this freshly redesigned home boasts 2 King en-suites with a gourmet chef's kitchen and huge covered deck to thoroughly enjoy the spectacular views and peaceful surroundings. Everything in our home is brand new! Surrounded by undeveloped State forest lands, this is truly a peaceful get-away with great restaurants, unique shopping, spectacular waterfalls, tremendous hiking, horseback riding, trout fishing all nearby.

In our experience, there is nothing worse than showing up at your rental to find that it is less than what you expected and starting your vacation disappointed. We designed and furnished this home for our family and to our high standards - you will NOT be disappointed!

Very nice, but also extremely remote.

We weren’t prepared for how remote and off the beaten path this property was. The property itself is quite nice (though it didn’t seem the wi-fi was working), and the photos are accurate. However, we eventually made the decision that the location and lack of restaurant options were not our cup of tea, so we moved to a hotel in Asheville for the duration of our stay. If you’re a hiker and know where to go, this place may be perfect for you.

Blue Ridge Bliss

We enjoyed our stay in this wonderful house. Awesome location just off the Blue Ridge Parkway. Quiet and restful in the mountain tops. The house was clean, the kitchen well equipped, and beds super comfy. Bill responds quickly to any inquiry. I think we just found a great get-a-way place in western NC. Thanks Bill for being a wonderful host and for sharing your house.

Wonderful stay with an amazing view!

Myself, my husband, and two friends stayed here for a long weekend and it was perfect! The view is to die for and so peaceful! Very close to hiking and climbing. Property was extremely clean and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. No complaints whatsoever and would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful cabin!

This cabin was perfect! Well-stocked with all necessities. Beds were super comfy. It was cold outside, and the cabin was well-insulated. The view is spectacular!! Bill was great with communication. A little drive to the small town to try a couple of restaurants. Hef’s restaurant has great burgers and fries and pizza. Fox and the Fig is a coffee shop with the best bagels and biscuits. In a nearby town, we had BBQ at Pigs and Grits and that was delicious. Well worth the 30-minute drive. Grandfather Mountain, Blowing Rock, Linville Falls, and the Biltmore are must-sees. A little drive to all of those places. The road up to the cabin is steep and winding, but not bad at all. Easy to navigate. Everywhere you go it’s a nice drive through curvy roads, so just take your time, and you’ll be fine. This cabin was quiet, comfy, and peaceful. If you’re looking to relax with a great view, this is the place for you!

We are a very active family who love the outdoors and Blue Ridge Mountains especially. We take full advantage of the wonderful mountains that surround us and use this home a lot. But, with kids, we juggle a lot of priorities and can't always use it. So we open our home for others to enjoy.

Why they chose this property

We have rented cabins throughout the NC mountains but always found it hard to find ones that met our standards and were close to exciting outdoor options. When we visited the Spruce Pine/Little Switzerland area, we fell in love. It's also very rare to find a flat lot this high up in the mountains coupled with world-class views like this home has. We've designed this home to meet our exacting standards!

What makes this property unique

Flat lot with a ranch style home makes for very easy and convenient living. The two king en-suite bedrooms are on either end of the house giving great privacy. In between the two bedrooms is the completely open living/dining/kitchen space. In the summer, enjoy fresh blueberries from our 20 mature blueberry bushes.
