Briar Cottage is a pretty, impressively refurbished two bedroom period cottage furnished to a high standard throughout. It has off road parking and an enclosed south west facing rear garden. The welcoming sitting room has exposed beams and an inglenook fireplace with a log burner. It is equipped with an internet TV and a supply of books. There is a downstairs W.C. and hand basin off the entrance lobby. The large, well equipped and furnished kitchen/dining room has double doors opening onto the rear garden.This sunny oasis has a patio with garden furniture, barbecue and a garden shed which can be used for bicycle storage. Upstairs there are two spacious double bedrooms. The rear bedroom has a king size bed, chest of drawers and a built-in wardrobe. The front bedroom has twin beds, a chest of drawers and ample hanging space. The bathrooom has a W.C., shower over the bath and a handbasin.
Briar Cottage offers a peaceful rural retreat and is within easy walking distance to the popular local pub, The Old Chequers. Friston is a tranquil village within Suffolk’s Heritage Coast in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is surrounded by arable countryside. There are excellent walks and bicycle rides from the door. Saxmundham, two miles from Friston, is convenient for food shopping with two large supermarkets, Waitrose and Tesco.
The pretty seaside town of Aldeburgh with its interesting shops, good restaurants, a cinema and 2 nearby golf courses, is only four miles away. Snape Maltings, famous for its concert hall, music and food festivals, galleries and stylish shopping is less than three miles away. 25 minutes' drive away, Southwold has a famous and entertaining pier, outstanding beach and other attractions. For birdwatching enthusiasts a visit to the RSPB reserve at Minsmere is a must.
