Quiet holiday gîte tastefully converted from a Chai (wine making buildings) at Le Peynau. It retains much character of the original buildings with exposed stone walls and timber beams. The setting is very rural, surrounded by arable farmland and vines.
Le Chai is now a single storey cottage, fully equipped for modern living to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable yet retains its old-world charm.
Facing north-west it does not receive the heat from the summer sun keeping the interior cool, but benefits from evening sunsets. The private entrance is a short walk from the parking area. You enter through french doors which provide glorious views over the fields from the open plan living and kitchen area.
From the living area a corridor leads to the private main bedroom suite with its own shower room. Two further bedrooms, a shower room and wc are accessed via a lobby from the living area.
Le Peynau is a former farm in the small village of Saint Eulalie d’Eymet (83 inhabitants). It now consists of a farmhouse, a Pigeonnier tower and Le Chai, set in one hectare (2.5 acres) of grounds, mostly lawn. The owners live onsite in the renovated farmhouse and do not overlook either the gîte or the pool areas.
