About the property

Private, Custom Built Waterfront Home Overlooking Holmes Harbor

Seasongs is a beautiful custom built waterfront home overlooking Holmes Harbor. This home has 2 bedrooms - one with a queen bed and the other with built in twin bunk beds. The home has a very open floor plan, wood floors, modern feel and the side of the house that faces the water has floor to ceiling windows to enjoy the water, trees and wildlife. Big glass doors in the living room lead out to a large deck with outdoor dining space as well as a gas grill. The yard is landscaped in front, and natural woods in the back, on the water side. There is a large hammock in the yard for your enjoyment as well.

This house is very bright and open. High end finishes, artistic touches, and classic furnishings. The living room includes a propane stove, entertainment system, comfortable seating, cozy feel, even with the wall of windows. The kitchen is open to the living space, and has full size modern stainless steel appliances. There is a bar to sit at, or a full dining table that seats 6. A small piano is available for your use, complete with sheet music, should you be so inclined.

The bathroom is modern and elegant, with a towel warmer and a heated floor. This is located between the kitchen and master bedroom. Simple clean furnishings in the bedroom with the wall of windows and built in drawers and cabinets for your things. The other bedroom has a built in bunk bed (twin each) right next to those great view windows. The top bunk is extra high - with such great views as one lie there it might be hard to want to get up! But do be aware if your child doesn't like heights, as the ladder is tall and the bunk is open at the end.

Shopping, eating, wine tasting, hiking, biking, parks, water fun etc. is all close by! Shopping and dining opportunities can be found in nearby Langley and Freeland. At the center of the island and the oldest town in Washington State is Coupeville, another local treasure to enjoy. A great home base for fun locally, Whidbey Island is also close to Seattle, Port Townsend, Anacortes, and the San Juan Islands for an enjoyable day trip. For evening entertainment, we have a small town theater that runs current movies right in Langley, as well as various live theater options. From arts, farmers markets, music, and seasonal events such as winery, farm and art tours, to apple pressing, parades, welcoming the whales, etc. there is often many more activities happening around here than one can possibly partake in!

PLEASE NOTE: If traveling with a small child that needs a dark quiet room to nap, you may wish to consider another home. Also to note, the bedrooms have partial walls - they don't go all the way up to the ceiling, so noise can travel more easily.

Also, the owner does bring along a cat when staying at the house. So although there is a no pet policy, and we do have a professional cleaner come after every visitor, anyone with pet allergies should be aware of this.

Lived Up to its Description

It would be difficult to identify any shortcomings with this property. The house was exceptionally clean, throughly equipped, and architecturally pleasing. There are terrific water views to be enjoyed from a large deck. The bath and kitchen were both modern and immaculate. This house affords privacy and is an exceptionally good value - worth every penny. The agent handling the property was efficient and friendly. We definitely expect to return next year. Thanks for a great vacation experience!

Perfect weekend getaway

  • 5 of 5

The Seasongs home in Langley was a perfect place to spend a weekend outside of the city (Seattle) in preparation for, and in relaxation after, the Whidbey Island Marathon. My boyfriend and I were really impressed by the space itself, with those floor-to-ceiling windows facing the water, and the management/communication going into the weekend was great as well. We would have loved to stay a little longer just to soak in those sunsets on the patio, but alas, next time!

Beautiful n comfy place and we’d come back. Wish the barbecue worked and it cld be a good idea to put a small sign on the washer warning that well water badly discolors clothes. New white top ruined. :-(

another flawless visit

  • 5 of 5

This is the second time I've spent my birthday at SeaSongs...and again, my stay was great. Communication was prompt and thorough, the house is clean, well-equipped and as pictured, the neighborhood is quiet and the view is so relaxing. You can count on professional folks who have all the details covered. An A+

Lovely stay

  • 5 of 5

The house is beautifully appointed and the kitchen well-stocked. I can't tell you how much I appreciate sharp knives and plenty of pots and pans. The view is gorgeous and the location can't be beat. We had trouble turning the heat down--but that was more likely user-error than furnace-error. We'd come back in a heartbeat!

A great home that is just as beautiful as the ad photographs portray

  • 5 of 5

We spent a very relaxing week in this lovely home, and it met all of our needs and expectations very well. The waterfront views are spectacular from every room in the house. There is good wi-fi & cellular coverage throughout, and the amenities (washer/dryer, microwave, etc) were all great. Be sure to read the owner's disclosure that "the bedrooms have partial walls - they don't go all the way up to the ceiling, so noise can travel more easily." This was not an issue for us, but I could see where it might be for some groups or families. Our only criticism would be that the shower did not provide water as warm as we would have liked. While the kitchen & bedroom faucets ran adequately hot water, the shower seemed to be lukewarm all of the time. Maybe a minor adjustment needed. Otherwise, we loved the place, and would recommend it to anyone wanting privacy, natural beauty, and comfort. We regularly saw deer and bald eagles in the neighborhood, and went on a great whale-watching trip out of Anacortes. A really great home base for a wonderful vacation.
