They are always available throughout the year. Our villa overlooking the Aegean olive and pine trees and a private beach. A wonderful place to spend time on the Mediterranean, available all year round.
We spent a wonderful nine days in this lovely villa, which is clean comfortable and fully equipped. Katerina gave us a very warm welcome, told us everything we needed to know about the house, and was attentive throughout our stay. She gave us some brilliant recommendations for places to visit, and advice about restaurants and avoiding the traffic challenges when visiting Athens. She also left us some wonderful olive oil pressed from the trees on the property. It was quite hard to drag ourselves away from the porch, the view and the breach with its fabulously clear water - and we lived outside during the day - but we managed to visit Ancient Corinth, the canal, Loutraki (quite a few times), Acrocorinth, Mycaenae, Napfoli, Epidaurus, Athens and Delphi, and watched the sun set above the temple of Hera at Cape Melagkavi, and over the little tavern on the beach at Agioi Theodoroi. A wonderful holiday - I wish we could have stayed longer and hope we can go back!
We just spent two and a half weeks at this property with our two teenage kids and would go back today if we could. Katerina met us at the property and spent some time giving us tips on what to see and how to get there. She even greeted us with a bottle of olive oil pressed from the trees on the property. The property has an amazing "Santorini" like feel to look out on the blue Aegean.
The property was equipped with everything we would need for our family and everything worked perfectly. I really appreciated the washing machine for a family of four and our kids appreciated staying connected with the wifi. The A/C cooled each room off during the hot parts of the day when we stayed on at the house, but the large doors that opened up to the beautiful view of the ocean also provided a nice breeze. I think we lived on the back porch most of our stay which has plenty of comfortable tables and chairs. The private beach we used every day.
The amenities the town provided had two grocery stores, five pharmacies (they generally were closed during the hot part of the day but opened in the evening), a train station (which I'd recommend to take into Athens to avoid the crazy drivers!), many coffee houses and a beach walk that had restaurants ready to serve dinner even for early American diners. I'd recommend eating at Tabpna O EoyahE (sorry with the Greek alphabet I'm sure I'm spelling it wrong) that is found on the beach walk in Ag. Theodori. You'll find it via the beach walk in a garden patio with about 6 tables. It's an experience you won't want to miss. No menus the owner offers choices of what he's cooking that evening which tasted amazing. The mood he creates with lighting, garden setting and even pleasant smell was wonderful.
We had a car to travel with and wanted to see as much of the Peloponnese and Northern Greece as possible and this location was perfect for that. We even went to a beautiful beach near Loutraki called Perachora that Katerina recommended. There's ruins of a Temple to check out, cliffs to dive off of and bring your snorkel gear to check out the Finding Nemo like reef.
During our stay from this location we drove to the following locations: Olympia, Athens (take the train!), Delphi, Hot Gates (Spartan 300 battle grounds), Epidavorus, Mycenae, Nafplio, Corinth, Loutraki, Hydra via quick ferry taxi.
Katerina made us feel so at home here! I can't wait to come back!
My family of six and friends (3) arrived nearly at midnight on our first evening in Greece. Our host Katerina met us and she gave us the full tour of the compound. She explained everything we needed to know about the house (water, electricity, appliances) and gave great recommendations for our holiday. The property was fully furnished unique furniture and accommodated with all parties with extra room to spare. The house had its own private beach, and almost each room had its own ocean view (minus bathrooms, kitchen and one bedroom). The house was also had all the amenities (cookware, condiments, washer, etc.). Our host even arranged a ‘care package’ of breakfast foods, and milk for my infant daughter. This really helped us especially since all the local grocers were closed. Katerina checked on us occasionally (via cell phone) to make sure we had no issues and gave us additional recommendation. She even cooked us a delicious homemade Greek dish! I was really amazed at the hospitality we received from her and highly recommend staying here or at any of her properties listed. My family and I felt like millionaires staying at the beautiful location. Katerina allowed use a free late checkout and even met us at the airport to give us back our security deposit and for us to turn-in the keys. Katerina and the property were amazing!
We've been there for a bit more than a week in October 2014. And we've had a really great and relaxing time.
We hoped for a quiet waterfront house – and we've got it. So the description and the pictures don't promise too much. We had high expectations, and they were even excelled.
The outside of the house is just breathtaking with its wonderful view towards the sea. There are olive and lemon trees in the garden. We loved to sit on the terrace and barbeque there. Just a few steps down and you have your own beach with little pebbles. There are two or three other houses that might have access to the small beach strip but we've seen nobody else there during our whole holidays except some shipmen in their boats passing by. Though the house is located near a main road it's well detached with a locked gate and you don't hear much of the traffic.
The inside of the house is great either with a rather traditional furniture in the living room and modern equipment besides. There are two air conditioners and there is a satellite TV but we didn't use it. The kitchen is large and also well equipped, i.e. with a dishwasher and microwave oven.
Katerina was a pleasant host for us. She received us personally and took herself a lot of time to give us useful advice. She doesn't live near the house but she's just a phone call away and was very helpful in any matter.
It's better to have a car when you come to the house. I don't know how the busses go but there are no shopping facilities within walking distance. Next village is Agii Theodori two or three kilometres away – there are lots of small shops and two large supermarkets.
It's very hard to find any negative aspects. There were problems with both showers when we were there but I'm sure these are fixed soon. And I think it's not the ideal house to visit with small kids because there is no fence between the property and the steps to the beach.
We'd recommend to see ancient Korinth which is only 30 minutes away. It also isn't far to Athens (one hour), to Mykene and to Epidauros. But most of the time we stayed at the house/garden/beach because it was so comfortable.
After all the house just offers a bit more than others we've been to in numerous ways. Like free WIFI, the astonishing view, the beautiful garden and the own beach. And lots of small things like the solar lamps in the garden, the comfortable terrace furniture or sun seats for the beach.
So we'd absolutely recommend it. And we'd like to come back NOW. :-)
Our family agreed to spend the vacation in Greece. We found a beautiful house and after contacting the owner, we decided to rent the house. A decision we never forget.
Six adults and two kids arrived late in the evening on June 28th and were met by the owner, Katerina, who had arranged transport from the train station to the house as well as meals due to our late arrival. She had provided for the breakfast the next morning too.
We toured the house which was clean, comfortable and spacious. The family room was beautifully decorated with antiques and marble floor, a genuine Greek home.
The house was perfect. It had all conveniences needed. It was fully equipped – no amenities lacking.
Katerina was a great host and told us everything we needed to know and said that we just had to call her if we needed anything.
Waking up the first morning viewing the beautiful Aegean Ocean and olive trees from the balcony was breathtaking scenery.
A pathway leads down to the villa's private beach. Hours were spent down at the beach, the balcony was a perfect place to have lunch, take a nap, read or just look at the scenery.
Outside the villa was a bus stop and we could within a few minutes be at the Supermarket, the nearest fishing village or take the bus to the train station and travel by train to Athens.
We visited fishing villages, enjoyed delicious Greek food at taverns and had a marvellous day in Athens. We took the bus and train from the house to Athens. An easy and comfortable way of travelling.
We thank Katerina from the bottom of our hearts from making our stay an unforgettable one.
We recommend anyone looking for a relaxing or quiet holiday in Greece to experience some unforgettable days at this villa, with Katerina as your host.
We won’t hesitate a second to call her and book the house next time we decide to spend our vacation in Greece.
Our family plus friends stayed at this lovely home. The weather was beautiful and the Aegean Sea was just a few steps away via the private steps. The house had all the conveniences needed, including a grill. The owner met us upon arrival and gave us great information on places to see and how to get there. The town of Agioi Theodori was a short drive and had two very nice grocery stores. On weekdays the town was very quiet but by weekend you are lucky to find a place to park with all the activites including a street market. All site seeing is within reach from this point. We traveled to Epidarvus, Mikines, and Napflio in one day. You must visit Loutraki for shopping and night life, only 20 minutes away and see the canal on the way. We used the main house and the new apartment out back for our group. The weather was mild in the upper 70's - low 80's so the AC was not needed. It was a plus that the refrigerator also had a freezer! We all enjoyed our time and would stay in this spacious home again.
If you decide to leave the private beach, there is still much to do, both in Kineta, and the environment. Taverns, restaurants, places with seafood, bakery, art shops located anywhere. You are also just a day trip from the greek 'Muss' visitor places. Go to Old Corinth and the spa town of Loutraki, near you meander outside of Old Corinth from the Peloponnese olive groves and vineyards of Nemea, or watch a drama in Epidayros greek theater, look for the King Agamemnon in Mycenae, consult the Oracle Delphi that you walk to the Olympic stadium, follow the paths of THISSEAS in Athens, less than an hour away, you think in the Agora of Athens with the philosophy and democracy.
Other Activities: Water Park, Zoo, Day Cruizes, Canal of Corinth
