About the property

Family house with orangerie, a large south faced garden and tea house.

You will find this lovely holiday home surprisingly hidden in a quiet street of the inner city of Bruges.

It is surrounded by a large walled garden (550 m2)with a spacious terrace, trees, a tea house, pond and a lawn. In this green oasis where it is good to stay with family and friends, you will be taken over by a true holiday feeling. The typical house is fully renovated and is equipped with all comforts. There are three large and two small bedrooms, with fabulous beds, real feather duvets, one south facing bathroom and two modern bathrooms with walk-in showers in Belgian blue stone and an infrared sauna. The cedar wood orangery is ideal for lazy lunches with views on the beautiful landscaped garden. In the garden you will find a nice sunny terrace to relax and settle down, with big teak table and chairs for 10. There is a practical, rural kitchen and a romantic salon with open fire. All these facilities would almost make you forget you are staying in the centre of historical Bruges.

About Hilde Lannoy

My husband and I live 15 years in Bruges , and we are from West Flanders and Brabant . All this time we were engaged in the operation of small-scale accommodation. Our latest achievement is the creation of the B & B the Corenbloem in Bruges, now run by our son. We focus now on our two vacation homes: one is de Balsemboom. We did everything possible to make it a perfect place to stay in Bruges. The other is in France, in Provence, in Lorgues :

The house is located in the historic center. You can visit the city on foot. But you have a large sunny garden with space to play , barbecue and enjoy together outside.

  • New springbox high quality beds. The groundfloor bedroom is ideal for people with mobility problems, they use one of the two groundfloor bathrooms. The two bedrooms on the first floor are the mean bedrooms, with nice views on the garden. One has a private bathroom. The attic bedrooms, on the second floor, are small but cosy. Each has a Velux windoy, and two single beds. You can easely make one double bed of the two single beds. Ideal for childern and teens, well possible for adults.

Brilliant stay with my family!

This house exceeded our expectations; it is really cosy with plenty of space for a big group (there were 9 of us) and has all the amenities you need. The living space is lovely and we spent lots of time relaxing in the lounge and orangery. The garden is lovely too although it was snowing for most of our time in Bruges! It is a 15 minute walk into the centre of town, which is easy to do, and has a supermarket at the end of the street. I would highly recommend this place, and would definitely visit again with family or friends. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Eine Oase der Erholung

Ein wunderschönes Domizil mitten in Brügge. Wir haben uns dort mit der ganzen 10-köpfigen Familie sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Haus ist mit allem ausgestattet, was einen entspannten Urlaub ausmacht. Wäre Brügge nicht so interessant, würde allein dieses liebevoll eingerichtete Haus mit seinem Garten für einen erholsamen Aufenthalt ausreichen. Auch für unsere drei Autos war ausreichend Platz zur Verfügung. Alles war zu Fuß erreichbar , sodass ein Fahrzeug überflüssig wurde. Wer Ruhe, Luxus und doch Ausflugsmöglichkeiten direkt vor der Haustür sucht, ist hier genau richtig.

Einen lieben Dank und ein großes Kompliment an Frau Hilde Lannoy und Herrn Dirk Verbeke für so eine Oase.

Beautifull and luxurious

We stayed over the weekend with a group of 8. The house was beautiful, well equipped and very welcoming. In the centre of Brugge, but thanks to the enormous garden it felt like a quiet and private place. We enjoyed ourselves very much. Looking forward to coming back.
