Family home situated in the Dordogne Valley, South West France, bordering on the river. In a small picturesque village called Le Roc.In walking distance to the river .

The house stands in 2000 square meters of private garden surrounded by walnut groves with its own private 5 meters x 8 meters pool for your sole use with plenty of sun loungers and garden furniture. From the large comfortable lounge/ dining room you walk out on to the sun terrace for you to enjoy alfresco dining with barbeque area overlooking the pool, garden and walnut grove. There is also a terrace at the front of the house with sitting area.

It is a large 4 bedroom house with 1 main family bathroom, one en suite and a downstairs cloakroom with toilet. Very well equipped newly installed kitchen with separate utility room with automatic washing machine and dish washer. The property has Sky freeview so you can access a variety of UK TV channels as well as a DVD player.

Comfortable and spacious family house with a lovely garden and a great pool.

The house is a home from home. Airy and spacious. Good sized kitchen and lots of areas for eating in. We had some lovely meals on the veranda overlooking the pretty garden and pool. Cooling Fans in the bedrooms came into their own as we had some very warm nights. Plenty of hot water for showers. Easy off road parking and just lots of space. Brian and Audrey who live across the way were friendly and welcomed us after a long journey with a chilled glass of wine. Was nice to have some English speaking neighbours and local knowledge. It was great to be somewhere pet friendly. We brought our little dog who loved the big garden and was able to join us at all our meals in local restaurants. Sarlat is a picturesque town and Rocamadour was a fabulous highlight of our visit. So many places to visit in this region. Spoilt for choice. Thanks John for lovely house and thanks Brian and Audrey for looking after us!

Great house in a lovely part of the world

We had a fantastic week at this house in the dordogne valley. The house and all the facilities were plenty big enough for five adults, two children, a grumpy teenager and a dog - there was even room to spare. The location is great, peace and quiet but within a very short drive to the local town and then around forty minutes or so drive to a bigger town.

The weather was fantastic too which made lazing by the lovely pool even better! Brian, who lives opposite was excellent, very helpful and knowledgable. One final mention is the owner John - he was really accommodating and helpful and all round top chap!

We have pretty much booked up for two weeks next summer!

Très belle propriété. Le seul hic: pas de commerce à proximité (Souillac est à une dizaine de km).

Très belle maison, plus belle que ce que ne laisse supposer les photos sur le site. Très belle maison, très belle piscine, très beau jardin, très bien entretenus. Le jardin est entièrement clôturé.

The house is situated in the small village of Le- Roc in the Dordogne valley, which is 6kms from the medieval town of Souillac. We are within 5 mins walk of the Dordogne river where you are able to swim, canoe or just relax. There are lots of beautiful walks from the house. Le-Roc is also on the main cycle route and you are able to hire bikes from Souillac. You can also book a paragliding course from our local bar. All your main supermarkets, shops. bars and restaurants are in the beautiful town of Souillac where you can take a tourist train to see the sites around the town, visiting the Friday market and the evening summer market. Quercyland is the main big waterpark which is set on the Dordogne river in Souillac if you book your canoe from the park you have free entry. Horse riding, golf, mini golf are also available within a 10 mins drive. Le- Roc is an excellent location for discovering the beautiful towns of Sarlat, Beynac, Domme, Rocamadour, Gourdon, Cahors, Brive and many more
