Definitely Rustic!!

  • 3 of 5

We have just returned from a ten day holiday in this villa and although on the whole we enjoyed our stay we feel it is needing more than a little T.L.C.

Catalina was very welcoming to what is a very rustic and pretty little villa with a lovely pool. 'Elf & Safety' would however have a field day with the uneven pool-surround paving slabs.

We liked its quirkyness with number two fridge in the outside kitchen and there were no complaints over cleanliness but certain things needed replacing, such as the foam pads for the outside seating and it would have been nice to have had a bit more comfort with pads for the sunbeds! One was well past its best with a torn cover. There was more than ample good crockery so why save chipped items? We brought the lamp downstairs for more light in the lounge, by the way the 'second bedroom' is really a mezzanine level room! No door to shut, just an open wooden staircase.

On arrival we were surprised not to find even a bottle of water. After a long day a cup of tea would have been welcome without a trip to the supermarket. Surely water, milk and a few tea bags would not have been a great expense and would have been a nice touch.

We reported that the stereo was not working on the day after our arrival and although the owner thought the problem had been solved she did not check with us until the day before our return home. But then it was replaced within the hour. Maybe we should have complained again before that but we were on holiday and felt one call should have been enough.

We love Pollenca and have stayed many times in many different villas depending on how many family or friends we were holidaying with. Our favourite restaurant in the port is Tango (used to be called Trio) set back from the front off the Pinewalk. And try Marina's Bar in Cala St Vicente for lunch, Spanish omelette, salad and a glass of wine for under 7 Euros!

We would have written these recommendations in the visitors book....... but we couldn't find one! And the last review for this villa was in 2013...

Charming & Relaxing Villa

  • 5 of 5

This was our first stay in a villa in Majorca and we were not disapponted with this Villa. The description is very accurate and it did not disappoint when we arrived.

The Villa was clean and well equipped, by the end of the two weeks we had found everything we needed and more! It is simply furnished but comfortable, the pool is clean and a real bonus! The Villa is situated off the main road with the supermarkets only a 5 minute walk away. As it is off the main road you can here the gentle swish of the traffic, but it is not too obstrusive and you soon forget where you are. The gardens of the villa are well maintained, plenty of space for the children to run around!

The Villa is ideally situated for visiting Pollensa, Puerto Pollensa & Cala San Vincent, a car is essential. After we had got our bearings we were soon exploring the area around us.

Catalina was very welcoming and only too obliging.

This Villa is fairly priced and we had a fantastic stay and Holiday, definitley a nice place to visit, defintiely recommend this Villa .

Lovely Casita

  • 4 of 5

We fell in love with this lovely little quirky house with its 3 fridges all in different places - could never remember where we had put things! The garden area is pefect and completely secluded - there is some traffic noise which is intrusive at times. The bbq area is one of the best and we loved the vine covered pergola in front of the house. As this holiday was a much needed rest, we spent most of the holiday lounging in the garden reading apart from a couple of rainy (torrential at times) days when we appreciated the heating inside! We had a problem with the toilet becoming blocked, but Senora Mercer had the problem sorted by the time we got back from coffee in PP - good service, and she provided the extra pillows we need as well! Only problem was the new washing machine which had no instructions and she never actually brought the instruction book. A 'man' came on the day before we came back to look at it and said it was an unusual machine which required certain buttons pressing in a certain order - wont go into details - you would lose the will to live! Needless to say, this was too late anyway and I could have done with being able to spin things to speed up the drying. But apart from this, it was perfect and would have no hesitation to recommended to anyone wanting a relaxing, private holiday.

Beautiful Villa

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for a week in August (family of 4, 2 adults, 2 boys aged 14 & 10, who spent most of their time in the lovely pool) , definitely not long enough, the villa is small and perfect, very quaint with beautiful gardens, couldn't ask for anything more. The owner is a lovely lady and very helpful. Villa was very clean and the gardener came once to clean the pool. Very mild traffic noise from main road but really not a problem. Villa is ideally situated for travelling around the North of the island and as a good base to explore the whole island. Porta Pollensa only five mins in the car with a wide selection of restaurants and a lovely beach. Supermarket 2 mins down the road. Car is a must. Would recommend to family and friends. Worth every penny. Would love to return ourselves.

Homely, great location and relaxing

  • 4 of 5

Everything went to plan and we located the villa easily. The owner is a very nice lady and speaks good english.

It was typically spanish, simply furnished but had everything that one needed. Many of the items were on 'borrowed time' but they did work and did the job . We felt very comfortable with the villa and the location was well placed for village, various beaches and evening strolls along beautiful pine tree lined proms and restaurants. The pool is kept clean and the villa is as the photo shows, very pretty. It is situated just off the main Pollensa to Puerto Pollensa road and you can hear the swish of traffic but it is not too obtrusive and we are use to peace and quite since we live in the country at home. Fair value for money and we would revisit should we holiday in Majorca again. Smashing holiday and good area to be in.

Tip: You do need a car and when you go out on the first evening take note of your location since the main road is not lit at night and the turning for this villa is not too obvious. It does have a small marker at the entrance but it does need looking out for.

Tolles Haus mit viel Charme

  • 5 of 5
