Local activities: Beaches are all accessible on foot but the nearest is Dorada beach which is 1000m away. There is a nice waterfront walk from the Marina to Dorada which is suitable by buggy or wheelchair. The famous Papagayo beaches are best accessed by car but can be walked. There are 6 beaches and all are lovely yellow sand. If you are a naturist then this is where you might like to visit. There are a number of beaches, what we call 'locals beaches' which take a little more searching. Nearest 400m.As with the other Canary Islands, Lanzarote is Volcanic in origin. Due to the recent eruptions during the 18th and 19th Centuries, many parts of Lanzarote appear to be from another world, often described as 'lunar' or 'Martian', so much so that parts of 'Planet of the Apes' were shot here.

Marina rubicon: The marina is ideal for people who like to scuba, sail and enjoy life on the water. There are kayaks for the kids. If you like ten pin bowling there is a bowling alley and for the golfers there is a pitch and put course and crazy golf for the kids and bouncy castles. On Dorada beach there are banana boats and pedalos. Within 1500m of 100 restaurants and bars, many shops, 5 supermarkets, 2 local markets numerous banks, Doctors (Nr Dorada Beach), water sports, Pitch and Putt. 2 Yellow beaches (9 in 3000m).

Helitours Air excursion is the best way to see the whole of Lanzarote. There are 2 main excursions you can take. Children under 2 years FREE! With this excursion, you fly round lanzarote in a helicopter that has been especially build for sight seeing tours. These special helicopters will site up to 6 passengers so this once in a life time trip can be enjoyed by all the family.

Places of intrest: Lanzarote is relatively small and from Playa Blanca to the top of the island takes about an hour. There are great Markets and once you have done the Market in the Marina Rubicon then try Teguise Market. There is of course Fire Mountain and some great places of interest such as the Cesar Mariguee museum and cactus garden. There are great places to eat on the Island and you might like to try fish in El Golfo, Quamada or Famara all are great. If you like to surf then try Famara beach.

Lanzarote Aquarium - Tel: 928 80 01 47 The Lanzarote Aquarium is located in Costa Teguise Los Zocos and Apartments Lanzarote Gardens. There are 33 Aquariums with tropical and Canary Island marine beds. While wondering around the Aquarium you also have a chance to touch some of the creatures and there are many plastic bubbles which magnify's the fist inside the tanks so no matter how small they might be you will have a good view of the animals.

Very comfortable villa!

  • 4 of 5

This was our first stay in this particular villa although we were familiar with the area having been several times before. We found it to be extremely comfortable and nicely furnished, with everything we could wish for. The welcome pack of goodies was a lovely touch and something we hadn't experienced before, so many thanks for that. The management company were helpful and efficient and sorted out a small problem quickly. The heated pool was wonderful and enabled us to swim in comfort, something we wouldn't have been able to do in March if the pool was unheated. There was just one issue, and that was the lack of privacy in the pool and terrace area, with people walking past on a regular basis and looking in while we were sunbathing or eating. If the wall was just a couple of feet higher, the same as the neighbouring villas, then it would have been completely private and more relaxing. But we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would come back again.

Delightful Villa

  • 5 of 5

We have just returned from 10 stay at Casa Margarita. It is a delightful villa with everything to meet all requirements (our party was from 2 years old to grandparents). The villa is very clean(with regular cleaning), well equipped and modern. The walk from the villa along the sea-front to Playa Blanca is amazing. The villa is a leisurely 10 min walk to the Marina ,where there is a great choice of restaurants.

While ,as other reviewers said, the Villa is a corner site close to the supermarket, we never felt as if our privacy was infringed upon.

We would be very happy to recommend this villa and hopefully will return at a future date.

Really enjoyed our stay here

  • 5 of 5

This is a lovely villa close to amenities and lovely walks to the marina. Great to relax and unwind. The breeze keeps the villa cool day and night. . The rooms are spacious and well equipped, the kitchen has all you need for the basics. Three bathrooms, what a bonus! The private pool is a luxury, warm and deep. We had three year old with us and they had a ball. Extra caution is essential with children, the pool is very accessible. I would not hesitate to recommend this villa, the owner is helpful and friendly. Would definitely come here again.

Nice villa bad location

  • 3 of 5

The villa is situated about half way between Rubicon Marina and Los Colorados. Approx 10/15 min walk to the Marina either via the costal path or through the palm lined avenues.

The villa is situated in a residential area on a corner with small bar and supermarket on the opposit corner.

The villa itself is very well decorated and maintained with modern furniture, lovely feel of home from home. Nice bottle of red wine greeted us - thank you

Negative - no towels in the kitchen on arrival although these were left when the mid week cleaner came in.

We felt the outside area lets the villa down. The outer edge of the pool is a little scruffy and dirty and the steps to the pool need securing more. The cushions for the sun loungers are not really suitable too thin, more for deck chair use. One of the plastic chairs was split which my husband found out when he sat on it and it pinched his inner leg - ouch! The BBQ has seen better days and so we decided not to use it.

As the villa is on a corner with a low wall it isn't very private, people walking past looking in. Delivery wagons park outside at early hours with engines running and coaches often park there whilst the driver pops for a coffee so we didn't find it very relaxing due to the constant noise also next doors dog barked at all hours of the day and night!

If you want just a bolt hole this villa is great if you want peace and relaxation with privacy I would say no - personally it didn't suit us so will not return.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the feed back A new BBQ is at the villa the old one had now been thrown out , not been in use for some time unfortunately no one can do anything about people not controlling their pets this can happen any where but the first time I'm hearing it The outside of the villa is far from scruffy it was painted when I was there in the summer the sun doesn't help and its touched up throughout the year As for a supermarket and Resturant they have always been a big plus with my guests and myself The villa is private as for heightening the wall 20 deet of it for the odd person passing is a little extreme for now and no complaints for 10 years of rentals Plastic chairs break in the sun all the time but are checked and replaced if broken I do my best to keep the property clean and maintained at all times and act quickly to resolve any problems And replace or fix all part of the maintenance of the holiday rental
