Lovely cottage, great for large families

  • 5 of 5

Had a group of 10 stay in the cottage over a long weekend and it suited us very well. With most of the bedrooms upstairs, the downstairs has a generously open kitchen with an attached dining area, great for conversing and socialising in the morning or after a day out. Also downstairs is an expansive living/family room with TV, ideal for watching movies or relaxing after a long day. We really enjoyed the large garden which seemed to stretch on forever. The kids ran around while we made use of the bbq and fire pit. The cottage has a lot of charm and has been updated nicely to suit modern needs/decor while maintaining the traditional cottage feel. House was clean, well stocked with supplies, and owner was friendly and receptive to questions. The location is just outside Barnstaple and ideal for visiting areas in Exmoor National Park to the east, or Hartland/Clovelly to the west. Would not hesitate to return if visiting the area again.
