Set in the heart of rural Co Down only 2 miles from Strangford Lough , this delightful cottage is ideally situated for exploring this beautiful area.

The cottage has 3 bedrooms , one double bedroom downstairs and two twin bedrooms upstairs. The downstairs bathroom has separate bath and shower. The kitchen is well equipped including electric cooker, microwave, fridge and dishwasher. A washing machine and tumble dryer are also provided. The sitting room has a woodburning stove , TV and radio and a wide selection of books and games. The Hall/ dining area has French doors opening on to a patio area and a private south facing garden with lovely view over the surrounding countryside. BBQ and garden furniture make this an ideal setting for relaxing. A lockup outside shed is available for bicycles and sports equipment.

Children and Dogs are welcome.

We have a Gold Green Tourism Award and are very eco friendly with solar panels and a wind turbine. Also a charge point for an electric car.

The farm is working under the Environmental Farming Scheme to encourage nature and birdlife and we have short walks for guests to enjoy our woods and view from the hill.

About Kelsie Erskine

My husband and I are both retired, I have Connemara ponies which guests are welcome to talk to! My husband is very interested in vintage motorbikes and will gladly show them to you. We live in the 1840s farm house and the cottage is a converted farm building built in 1990 for my parents. It has been a holiday cottage now for about 20 years and we have many regular visitors.

The farm has cattle grazing and we cut silage in the summer. We work with the RSPB to encourage birdlife on the farm and are involved in the Environmental Farming Scheme. We have small woods (oak and other native species) and have this winter created a laneway between the woods so that our guests can easily access them and enjoy walking round the farm without going into the fields with cattle and ponies.
