Tiptoe Cottage will bring your dreams of a perfect holiday in Cornwall to life. A traditional stone cottage - once an apple barn attached to the main farmhouse - has recently been refurbished to offer a high standard of accommodation for up to four people in two bedrooms. There is also an additional sitting room on the ground floor with sofa bed providing additional flexibility and sleeping for those who prefer to not climb stairs. The cottage takes its name from the private woodland which is carpeted with wildflowers in the spring and is a lovely place to wander. Despite its peaceful, rural location, Tiptoe Cottage is only a mile from the market town Liskeard, where there are a wealth of shops, cafes and great pubs.
Liskeard is the perfect base for a great Cornwall holiday as it is central to both the beautiful Cornish countryside and the stunning beaches that make this such a popular holiday destination. The cottage is within easy walking distance of Liskeard's shops, pubs and eateries. Yet it is in a secluded and very rural spot, which together with the hot-tub, make this a perfect location for a peaceful and romantic retreat.
The owners, who live in the farmhouse, have taken great care to make the cottage a welcoming place to stay, including thoughtful touches like a choice of pillows and a welcome hamper filled with locally produced goodies.
Downstairs: The kitchen, dining and living area is all open plan, flowing smoothly from one area to the next, so no one feels isolated or left out if they are cooking. The dining area has a round dining table with chairs for four people.
The fitted kitchen is decorated in a fresh, country style and features everything you need to make self-catering simple, including an oven/hob, microwave and that all important coffee machine. There is also a washing machine for guest use.
A separate sitting room has a couch that opens into a small double sofa bed. It can be used as a third bedroom if required.
A family wet-room has a shower, WC, heated towel rail and hand basin.
