The Savannah Historic District is right outside your door at this elegant two-bedroom condo, a dog-friendly urban retreat that offers a wonderful location near restaurants, shops, galleries, and the city's most beloved squares.

Charming, well-appointed, and stylishly updated, this second-floor walk-up is just two blocks from the Savannah River at the intersection of Whitaker and West Broughton Streets. Built in 1860, the antebellum building offers enviable access to tree-lined streets, gorgeous city squares, restaurants, museums, and shops - all of which are just a short walk away.

An ideal home base for small family vacations and relaxing girls' weekends, the interior living space is an artful blend of history and modernity. You'll find hardwood floors and exposed brick details, as well as central air conditioning and WiFi to keep you comfortable and connected.

As you spend your afternoons shopping at the Paris Market and Brocante, strolling along the Savannah River waterfront, or joining a walking tour of the Savannah Historic District, you can look forward to quiet and relaxing evenings with the flatscreen TV, Amazon Fire TV Stick, Netflix, and DVD player.

The full kitchen is immaculate and polished, with stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, and a dishwasher to take care of the plates. Whether you pick up sandwiches from Zunzi's or test your own culinary skills, you'll have seating for four around the dining room table.

Your dog is even welcome to join you at this downtown condo, and he'll love going for morning walks to the tree-filled expanse of Forsyth Park just one mile away. Please note, however, that a small nightly pet fee applies.

This two-bedroom, one-bathroom home will accommodate as many as three people during your Savannah getaway. You'll find a queen bed, a flatscreen TV, and a DVD player in the master bedroom, as well as a double bed in the guest room. The bathroom features an ornate vanity and a tub/shower combo.

And don't worry about repeating your evening wardrobe - you'll have a private washer and dryer here for your convenience.

Whether you're a history lover, an art enthusiast, or a sightseer in search of graceful urban scenery, Savannah is a wonderful place to experience the charm of the South. You'll be within walking distance of more than 20 city squares in the Savannah Historic District alone, as well as countless mansions, churches, and monuments. Spend a day touring the SCAD Museum of Art or take a four-mile drive to witness the Southern Gothic beauty of Bonaventure Cemetery.

Enjoy a fascinating trip back through time - this Savannah condo will show you the best of this gorgeous city!

About Vacasa, GA - Savannah Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Probably good for a family staying for a LONG time

  • 3 of 5

While I read lots of reviews before we went, I think a pro-con list may have been useful. So! Here is one.

Right in the thick of things! It is the perfect location to walk to anywhere in the river street or historic district.

Sweet coffee shop down stairs (I think we almost LIVED at the Coffee Fox)

Good for a LONGER stay - Probably wonderful if you stayed a whole week and parked your car REALLY far away so you didn't have to worry about it - but 3 nights with the parking, stairs, noise, hassle of getting in and out - made it less awesome.

laundry room

Giant closets

LOTS OF SPACE! For a toddler to race around this was great.

No where to park. While parking I knew was going to be less than convenient, it was insanity. The decks were full 90% of the time - we never ended up parking in decks and spent a lot of time bouncing the car from spot to spot (much of the time this would take 30-60min to find a spot).

Noise - This wasn't a big deal for us, we brought ear plugs and knew this ahead of time

Old Beds - the mattress in the smaller room (but larger bed) was old and had a huge sunken place in it, in general - a lot of the furnishings were sort of holding on by a thread.

The lockbox was NOT where it was supposed to be - granted we had a 2 year old after a 5 hour car ride and a load of luggage on the street so not being able to GET In the apartment was not great.

A/C doesn't cool all the way - in hot Savannah, you want to come in and get cool. The A/C seemed to stick at a place in the 70s and not come down anymore despite settings.

TV - Don't plan on watching TV or having fast internet. There are only a couple channels that you can see and the internet is SLOW.

Overall, I give this place 3 stars. We won't do it again, but I think knowing what you're in for is important. While probably specific to our stay, the house keeping staff seemed like perhaps they did NOT clean well before we arrived. We found marijuana from a previous tenant hidden in the bathroom and copious amounts of dog hair on the floors in the corners. The biggest con for me was all of the extra money in fees that you don't find out about until checkout. There was another almost TWO nights worth of fees tacked on at check out.

The apartment was centrally located so we were able to walk to all our destinations in town. Parking can be an expensive venture though.

Savannah sophisticated

  • 5 of 5

This place was awesome! It was everything we hoped for as soon as we opened the door. It was nice to be able to walk out of the door of the complex and be right in the heart of town. It made it even better that there was a coffee shop right when you walk out! The Espresso is fantastic! I definitely will be staying here again and I recommend it to everyone !

Too Loud at Night

  • 2 of 5

Every morning around 3 or 4 a garbage truck pulls up right under the apartment. Even though the location of the apt is great and the apt is comfortable we would not stay here again due to the sound at night.

Owner's Response: We apologize if the city noise was too much for our guests. We provide individually wrapped, disposable ear plugs for guests to use when this is the case. Thank you!

Very Convenient but loud at night

  • 4 of 5

Cute place to stay. Very convenient. It would have been nice to have two bathrooms, but it was ok. Very loud at night. The noise didn’t stop until 4am on both Friday and Saturday night. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
