A short walk over the fields is our local pub The First and Last , lovely atmospheric pub and the Old Success above the beach at Sennen. Porthcurno , possibly one of the most beautiful beaches in the world is 2 miles with the Minack theatre above - open air theatre built from the granite rock it sits on puts on amatuer dramatic plays and concerts - stunning . Our garden is a great place to watch incredible sunsets and fireworks on summer evenings from lands end i mile away. Lovely gentle dairy cows are our often neighbours . Further afield St Ives and Penzance are 11 miles away . This part of Cornwall is dramatic and wild but stunningly beautiful . Sennen beach is a surfing beach . a really long yellow sandy beach , next to it is a dog friendly beach Gwinver and my personal favourite. Mint cottage offers guests space and stylish comfort , peace and beautiful views , sunn trap garden and wonderful walks , beaches , sunsets , star filled skies and great pubs and restaurants one actually overlooking the beach. Idyllic .

Lovely farmhouse in a gorgeous location

  • 5 of 5

it really was perfect for a family holiday with our two boys and Alf our Cocker. Very comfortable and stylishly done , not at all a bland holiday house with a really warm feeling. The garden is southfacing , we loved watching the sunset so late about 9.30 - 10.00 - amazing. We walked to the beach , loved the pub , kids thought the pizza was the best , we enjoyed a cider or two and had a couple of camp fires on Sennen beach. A wonderful Cornish holiday - the weather wasnt too bad - the log burner was great on the rainy nights. We plan to come back next year if thats OK

Heavenly Half Term in a Wonderful Setting

  • 5 of 5

We always try to get to Cornwall at least once a year as a family and all five of us loved Mint Cottage more than anywhere we've stayed before! The kids loved the sunny garden, fantastic beaches at Sennen and Porthcurno and the Cornish ice creams. Particularly memorable were the picnics on the cliffs at Lands End (5 mins away) and cooking sausages on driftwood fires at Sennen (5 mins). Us oldies loved the comfortable, spacious farmhouse, awesome walks and fabulous lunches at some of the brilliant pubs and restaurants- there are loads within 25 mins. I'm in a dilemma to recommend it to too many people because it was the perfect holiday house- clean, stylish, comfy, homely with a well equipped kitchen to make the most of the lovely local produce (Sennen Farmers Market every Tuesday - 20 min walk across the fields). It's ideally situated to explore Penwith: Minack Theatre (7 mins), St Michaels Mount (25 mins) and St Ives (30 mins). Thanks for a wonderful, memorable half term! Oh, and the dogs loved it, too!
