Hello, I am Athina and I live in Athens. I studied Visual Communication and Graphic Design. I worked for many years as an Art Director in various advertising agencies.
I adore the sun and the sea and my friends tell me I'm a great cook.
I like dreaming, making plans and meeting people.
I'm sure you will love my home as much as I do.
Villa Thineas was everything we had hoped for, As a party of 10 we all had ample room and lots of different sleeping options. The views from the terrace and balcony are stunning and watching the sunset with a cold drink is a happy memory i will long cherish.
The location is fantastic in a lovely quiet village over looking the sea, It's one of the Islands secret places as the local beach, beach bars, seafood & meat tavernas are only 5 mins from the villa and occupied mainly by locals. Hence the Food is very good & inexpensive.
Myrtos beach and the towns of Agia Effima & Agrostoli are only 20 mins by car.
But what sets this Villa apart from the rest is the 5* service you get, Fresh Bread & Pastries delivered to your door daily, The lovely Angela & Athina popping in every day to clean, deliver extra food and arrange anything you need.
Thank you, we really do miss both of you and cannot thank you enough for making our Holiday very special.
Book Villa Athina, you will not regret it.
Caroline & Billy - Fiona & Mark and all the rest of our gang x
We had a wonderful 7 days vacation, together with our friends and our kids (4 adults & 4 kids). I found Kefalonia a very nice surprise after the crowded Corfu, 1 year ago and after other Greek islands before. The house is beautiful, very confortable, with a stunning sea view! Obviously, the pool was the biggest attraction for the kids, but with the warm and kind help of Athina, the owner, we managed to have an unforgettable vacation: the castle of Assos and its nice bay, the Myrthos beach, the animated evening in Argostoli, the sporty beach of Antisamos, the stunning Melissani cave or the sandy beach of Xi were reasons for discovering and enjoying new things. But what really made the difference was the warmth, the kindness and the openess of our owner, Athina! It was a real pleasure to meet her and her daughter and we are grateful that we got to spend one evening together!
It was a one of a kind experience, we hope to come back and we would strongly recommend the house as an oasis of peace and wellbeing!
We had a lovely, relaxing stay in this beautiful, spacious house. We were 12 and it never felt crowded - great rooms, bathrooms, etc and shared space, plus good pool and BBQ terraces, both with amazing views over the bay.
Athena, the owner, could not be more delightful. Always incredibly friendly and helpful, even accompanying one of our party to hospital after a fall - above and beyond!
We would not hesitate to recommend this house to anybody looking for a big space in a quiet spot on this beautiful island.
The only warning: make sure you have worked out your route before setting off from the airport in the dark - it's not easy to find in the dark!
Thanks Athina. X
PS stitches out and head fine....
We booked the villa for a party of 12; 3 families, 6 adults and 6 children. Apart from the location, space, decor, breathtaking views and facilities what made all the difference for us was the flexibility of the accommodation. Everyone shared with their preferred buddy and everyone had a comfortable bed.
Athina, the owner, is a wizard with local knowledge and tips. We never set off without first consulting her. If you're on a diet beware the breakfast includes home baking, doughnuts and pain au chocolat from the local baker, fruit, cookies, brioche, rice pudding so you might as well give in and enjoy!!!
A beautiful villa in a superb location, made outstanding by its wonderful owner. Athina was attentive, polite and extremely knowledgeable. The stand-out, though, was the magnificent view from the terraces. At one point I thought "I could happily spend an entire summer just sitting here on this sun-bed!"
This was one of the best villas we have ever stayed at. In the outskirts of Angonas village, wonderful scenery, pool and a very large garden excellently maintained. Kitchen had every item you could possibly need. The bedrooms are spacious and wonderfully designed. Daily cleaning of the rooms and pool was done inconspicuously, without disturbing the occupants. We found the wonderful Ag. Kyriaki beach only 3 km away and the nearby taverna recommended by Athina. Fantastic food and a very warm welcome given to every customer. This was our first holiday in Kefalonia, a beautiful Island. Definitely not the last visit. Thank you Athina !!
Lovely villa with great views of the sea. On arrival the owner had filled the fridge with local cheeses, bread, jam, honey, veg and fruit which was great and the wine and coffee went down very well.
Villa and pool was clean and plenty of bedrooms however can imagine if fully occupied the kitchen might be cosy.
The BBQ and terrace was a great way to spend the evening and watching the sunset.
Villa is in a tiny village and there wasn't much to do or open in May.
Nearest supermarket was in Agrostoli, a 30min drive.
Surrounding beaches were pretty, sea was crystal clear.
Baker comes daily but only 1 type of bread and the veg man comes twice a week.
The owners hospitality really made this holiday for us and was always on hand to help if needed.
Recommended for families who really want to get away from it all.
The village Agkonas was rebuilt after the 1953 earthquakes in a different location in order to be protected from big rocks sliding. The ashes of the old dorp are visible in the north. There are 150 village people, living in the region which is famous for the enormous eyesight. The visitors will have the opportunity to taste fresh meat, fish and wine which is produced in the area.
