Villa Anne marie was purchased from madame Anne Marie pianasani by Carl and Yvonne as a derelict house in 2002, we are only the 2nd owners of this lovely property and have loving renovated the building into 2 stunning apartments ,we ourselves love the house and its surrounds and enjoy sharing it with our visitors,we live in the French alps with our two teenage daughters and jack russel, scooby .We have been in France for 20 yrs

the apartments are very spacious, well equipped and designed as homes not just rental apartments, we have kept many original features of the house, including things like framed magazines which were found in the building from 1911, I think the love put into the renovation makes it a special place to stay!
the proximity to the lake and cycle path , stunning views space and freedom of the house offers our guests a very enjoyable holiday,
Canadian canoe is available for guests use too, the port of bout du lac and the village summer markets make this a great place to stay.
The ferry boat that tours the lake stops very close by too.
We stayed in the lovely and spacious loft appartment. It is very well quipped and we enjoyed our dinners at the balcony. Having the lake within walking distance made it possible to go for several swims during the day. The traffic noise from the road was a bit loud, but it would not prevent us from coming back!
This is a beautiful property in a beautiful location and had all a family with two teenagers could want - we had a great holiday at Lake Annecy and look forward to returning again

We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to Villa Anne-Marie and the surrounding area. We were overwhelmed with the beautiful scenery – it has to be seen to be believed. The Loft Apartment was fantastic and exceeded our expectations - nothing had been forgotten, which made our stay perfect. We cannot recommend both the area and Villa Anne-Marie highly enough; indeed, it is very tempting to be selfish and make this our best kept secret. One word easily sums up our holiday: idyllic.
Simply put... we did not want to go to sleep on the night before our departure because it meant we would have to wake up the next morning and leave!
Friends for 30 years, we are three ladies that now live in different cities, in different countries so a get-together at Lake Annecy has been the most important and exciting thing on our agenda for the past 6 months. We were not disappointed!
We were in the loft apartment at Villa Anne-Marie in Doussard. Wow! stunning is an understatement! You can visibly see the love that Yvonne & Carl have for the villa in the beautiful way they have restored the property… blending the old wooden beams in the open plan lounge/dining room/kitchen area with modern appliances and utilities to make for easy and comfortable living. The balcony off the TV lounge is marvelous for sun-downers and al fresco dinners. All three bedrooms have magnificent old pieces of furniture, adding to the ambience. The beds are really comfortable too.
And then there’s the garden! Lying on a lounger, soaking up the sun, surrounded by perfectly manicured trees, plants and flowers makes you feel like you have been dropped into paradise. Our only complaint would be the sound of the constant traffic going by but even that becomes background noise after a while.
We relied on the water taxi and the bus to get us to Annecy and the other small places around the lake but then decided to hire a car for a few days to give us more flexibility and enable us spend more time at the places we really liked, namely Taillores and Menthon-St. Bernard. Swimming in the lake is just wonderful at these two areas.
While we popped into the closest restaurant, Chez Ma Cuisine for coffee and/or drinks on a number of occasions, we decided to have dinner at Spinnaker on our last evening. Everything - the setting, the food, the wine, the service was perfect and a fitting end to a fabulous week of fun, laughter and many other happy memories.
Yvonne, we thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us (and for answering our emergency call to come and fetch us from the store with all our groceries).

We rented the house for a girls get away for my 40th birthday and could not have wished for better. Real luxury accommodation. Perfect location for access to water sports, great garden for long lazy bbq, easy access to everything needed. I particularly recommend taking the ferry (just across the road) to get into Annecy town for a night our rather than drive or worry about taxis - its a cruise in its own right. AND most of all Carl and Yvonne - what great hosts - you thought of everything. Thank you so much it was perfect.
Villa -Anne -Marie is located in Bout du Lac(end of the lake) 20km from the town centre of Annecy with all its
interesting shops medieval streets and bustling markets. Often called the Venice of the alps as the waterways meander through many of the old streets. There are lots of places of interest , like the old chateau, museums and galleries. The town is very close to the lake and surrounded by lovely green parks, swimming areas and places to hire all kinds of boats, take a lovely tour on one of the trips or simply relax and take in the stunning views.
Bout de lac has a lovely port, tennis courts, cycle hire and lots more, an ideal base to explore the beautiful surrounds within easy reach of all local amentities and with lots going on in the small villages around, summer markets, concerts and village fetes just a few of them. The lake has lovely swimming and sun bathing areas
with life guard facilites.
There are also several restaurants and cafes close by.
