About Selina Hoare

I am a freelance and I travel a lot so renting out my flat whilst I am away allows me to go on more holidays!

Why Selina Hoare chose London

I bought this flat because of the central location and the roof terraces. The terrace off the kitchen is like another room. High up in the trees, I spend alot of my time here.

A very comfortable, spacious apartment with lovely views onto the pretty gardens. We were lucky enough to have drinks on the terrace, in November! Highly recommend it and the location is so good for getting in and out of central London.

Great stay, great location

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time in this apartment… It is next to all the transport links and not at all far from Piccadilly where we went to some amazing broadway shows. We normally stay right in the center but this was just as easy and we loved the fireplace and we managed to have lunch on the balcony even in January… We were a bit concerned after we read the review about the mice but luckily we didn’t see anything at all and the internet worked very well. The host answered all our questions very quickly and was always ready to help with any problems. The flat itself was very clean and more spacious than we imagined so that four adults didn’t feel too cramped at all… I would definitely recommend this flat and in fact we are coming back in the summer with our children. It is on the second floor when we expected the ground floor but this was OK.

Very nice stay in this charming apartment. Selina helped us with everything we needed and the key swap and everything else worked perfectly. Definitely to recommend.

Lovely flat, great host

  • 5 of 5

I had a lovely stay at Selina's flat. Very nice place, nice furniture, with everything you need to feel at home. We even found flowers and a bottle of wine when we arrived! Very convenient location, as well. Selina was helpful and responsive anytime we needed. We'd love to come back!

3 bedroom flat

  • 2 of 5

Spent 6 weeks here and although the landlady was always quick to respond to messages, she did not manage to resolve the issue of visiting mice. We saw them on a number of occasions, and they didn't seem to mind sharing the place with us at all. Internet was super fast when it worked, but unfortunately was mostly unreliable. We would have to reboot the modern, on average, at least 3 times per day. Central heating was very good.

Very nice, centrally located 3 bedroom flat

  • 5 of 5

We recently stayed in this flat for a 10 day visit to London. While we did not meet the landlady personally, she was always very responsive via email and the flat worked out well. We did not have any problems. She had a wonderful bottle of wine and some nice flowers on the kitchen table waiting for us. We had two related families stay together in London in the flat (5 of us in total). We will definitely try to stay here next time when we have at least four or five people visiting London.

The flat's location is a selling point. It is easy to get to central London by one of three close by tube stations. We took a bus to Kensington Palace from a close by bus stop. There are also several grocery stores within an easy walk as well as the Westfield Mall with so many shops and restaurants.

It was hot for London in July 2016 when we stayed and we really enjoyed using the outdoor terrace patios. We would eat, drink and talk outside on the patio after a long day of sightseeing or after coming home from West End play. As this flat occupies the top couple of floors of this very nice town house, there are a couple of flights of stairs up to the flat and stairs within the flat. These were no problem for us, but if you are adverse to walking up and down stairs, you should be aware of this.

The flat is on a quiet leafy residential road in West Kensington and 5-8 minutes walk from 3 tube stations - Shepherds Bush, Hammersmith and Goldhawk Road. Kensington Olympia overland train is only 8 minutes walk. These stations provide access to the Central Line, Circle, Hammersmith and City, and Piccadilly Lines and numerous bus stations.

Situated just west of the well known Nottinghill and Portobello markets and a short bus hop from Kensington High Street. Shepherd's Bush and Brook Green is epitomised by the behemoth Westfield shopping centre, the largest urban mall in Europe. Sounds hellish? It's heavenly.
