Holiday Home in the Languedoc, South of France sleeps 8.
Availability 2018: 2 to 7 July, 21 July to 5 August, 27 August to 8 September, 15 September onwards.
This Languedoc, South of France Holiday home is full of rustic charm. The villa was a working wine 'domaine' until the owners renovated the buildings and built a large swimming pool. The holiday villa is set in 12 hectares of olive groves and fields. The two largest apartments, HE015A Sauvignon and this property Chardonnay are in a late 19th century villa, 40m from the swimming pool. Each has its own separate entrance and private terrace. The third smaller cottage, 'Cabernet', again with its own private entrance, garden and terrace, is part of another building about 50m away (see HE015C Cabernet). The properties are simply furnished for holiday use.
The large swimming pool (12mx6m) has an automatic cleaning system. It has a large terrace with plenty of sun-loungers and has a low fence.
There is a newly converted 'cave' at the domaine, providing a function room to seat approx 40, with kitchen and cloakroom. Please contact us for rental details. This is ideal if a few families are renting the property together because they can rent the function room and eat and cook together with plenty of space to spread out.
Description of this holiday apartment in the South of France.
The entrance to "Chardonnay" is around the side of the house from "Sauvignon", and at a lower level, and so the two apartments are completely independent from one another. A few steps lead up to the terrace and entrance door.
The front door leads into very spacious open-plan living/dining room/ kitchen (40m2), with high ceiling and exposed beams, a dining table with wrought iron chairs. A door leads out on to the large sunny terrace, which has views over the countryside.
To the left there is a large double bedroom with en suite shower room. A separate WC can be found off the lounge area.
A staircase of 18 steps leads to the first floor where there are 3 bedrooms.
A large double bedrooom, with an antique wardrobe, and views overlooking the garden. Two bedrooms with twin single beds.
Also on this level there are 2 bathrooms. One with a bath, sink and WC, which has a large window overlooking the countryside. The 2nd is a shower room, with a shower and wash basin (no wc).
All three apartments share the 12m x 6m fenced swimming pool, with easy access. (The pool has a high-tech cleaning system which means that you should not need to be disturbed by visits from the 'pool-man' so often). The paved terrace around the pool is fenced for child safety. Outside the fenced area is a large gravelled terrace with plenty of sun-beds enabling you to soak up the South of France sun! The hillside has been cut away so that a Greek-amphitheatre of large stone steps surrounds one end of the terrace.
Between the pool and the houses is a sloping lawn, while beyond the pool area is a large olive grove of about a hectare, and open fields. All in all there are 5 hectares of grounds, so plenty of space for kids to roam on 'adventures', ride bikes, hide and seek just what you expect children to do whilst on a family holiday in the South of France.
Shared parking area for HE015A Sauvignon and this property Chardonnay. HE015C Cabernet has its own BBQ and smaller parking area in its garden.
