Our cottage offers a beautiful, private setting with unobstructed direct views of Lake Michigan from the cottage. This is the perfect retreat for folks looking to relax and unplug while still being a short drive to the beach and close to town to enjoy the many amenities and activities it has to offer.
This home is in a gated area with only a few other homes. It is located just north of State and County protected property comprising over 450 acres of woods with miles of walking paths and dunes systems to the north and south. And, yet, this lovely cottage is a short drive or bike ride alone the paved State Park / South Haven dedicated bike path to South Haven eateries and within easy travel distance to other harbor country destinations including the Kal-Haven and Van Buren bike and walking trails (33-miles and 14-miles, respectively), Fennville, St. Joseph, Saugatuck, the Jack Nicklaus signature golf course Harbor Shores and numerous wineries, and fruit farms. Enjoy your days from our private deck overlooking Lake Michigan or exploring the surrounding areas and grill-out and chill-out by the fire or in the hot tub while you watch the sun set, enjoying the stars away from big city lights as night falls. There's an indoor wood-burning stove if you want to stay in and flat screen TV's in the family room and master and a stereo with speakers to play music from your phone, from one of the many DirectTV music stations or the radio inside and outside (there are outdoor speakers). The hanging lights on the side porch where the outdoor dining table is locates add ambiance for travelers to enjoy a relaxed area close to the home amenities.
WiFi is included and also DirectTV with all available movie channels – if you have someone who can’t miss a ball-game or you want to watch some movies from the satellite. The area owners with “local” knowledge will be available to ensure that everything goes smoothly and are happy to make recommendations or point you in the right direction to ensure an enjoyable stay. There is a first floor bedroom with a queen size bed. There’s also a pull-out queen in the family room. Upstairs, there’s a bunk room with two full / twin bunk-beds. The master bedroom has a king size Tempurpedic bed, sliding glass door with beautiful views of Lake Michigan and its own small private balcony so you can sit and enjoy a glass of wine while watching the sunset or a morning cup of coffee before the rest of the guests awaken.
