In 1950, the vineyard still covered a third of the agricultural area of the town and produced dozens of tons of grapes. grape terroir but also wine, our wines were praised by many poets Prévert to Verdet. It is very evident that Sandrine and Harry take great pride in this property. This property offers amazing value for money, and is very clean and comfortable. Sandrine took time out of her busy day to recommend places to visit, things to see and places to eat. You could tell it was important to her that our stay is as wonderful as it could be. As a result, our vacation was incredibly enriched with places we would have otherwise not known about and not seen. Only wish we could've stayed longer. I would highly recommend this property to family and friends visiting the area.
The property of Sandrine and Harry is comfortable and both are very friendly and willing to help you with all kinds of questions. The house they built their own has lots of personal details which makes it unique and pleasant to stay. The swimming pool is very welcome since St. Jeannet is a half an hour ride from the coast. For bikers it's a very good place since you are already in the mountains.
Sandrine and Harry gave us a warm welcome to their lovely studio apartment, which is attached to their home. They're very friendly and helpful and not at all intrusive. The apartment is quiet, spacious and airy and everything is new and fastidiously clean. The main sleeping area is a mezzanine loft that overlooks the living area and it's very comfortable, although the headroom is a little limited up there so if you're a particularly big person you might consider sleeping on the downstairs sofa-bed. The swimming pool is shared with the family but they didn't use it much while we were there and if you wish they're happy to give you sole use, although their company is a pleasure. The pool is filled with water that comes down from the mountain and it's cool, clean and clear without the smell of chlorine. The medieval part of the village is just a little way up the mountain and it's beautiful, with spectacular views, and we would recommend a restaurant there called Le Vieux Four where you can eat the most fantastic handmade pizzas in a rustic surrounding. To sum up - superb, and good value for money.
St Jeannet is an ancient village, typically medieval, perched on the heights of Vence country at the foot of Baous, 12 km from Nice. St Jeannet traces its origins to the eleventh century. It is a wonderful village located away from major thoroughfares which is one of the most attractive places in the country means. With its climbing site (about 500 listed tract, 18000 m climbing), it represents 25% of 'climbable park' the Maritime Alps. The natural charm of this village and its unique architectural and environmental heritage have attracted many artists such as Raoul Dufy and Jacques Prévert who found inspiration. This small village alone has no less than 6 chapels and a parish church. Only 20 minutes from the seafront and 1h30 from the ski slopes, its location and climate make it a favorite spot to practice responsible eco-tourism, nature-based combining the pleasures of the beach and the mountains
Golf: The closer golf courses are found in the Var valley and Mougin. The region has 20 golf courses, including 15 open all year. (Radius of half an hour of St Jeannet). There are three paths in the back country; The courses are of high quality.
Many mountain walks exist in the region.
Many gorges allow the practice of mountain river sports such as rafting, canyoning etc ...
Ski: St Jeannet is ideally situated between the sea and the mountain in the morning you are 15 minutes to the sea, and the afternoon in 1h30 you are on the slopes of Gréolières snows !! or hiking
add 30 minutes and you have the choice of Isola 2000, Valberg, Auron and many other ski resorts.
Most ski resorts are only 1h30 from St Jeannet, with guaranteed snow and sun since peaks more than 3000m !! the landscape on 700 km of ski slope and cross country skiing are breathtaking !!
In addition, to go to these stations, you will cross the beautiful scenery. Summer and winter you'll be delighted with the activities they offer (summer sledging, tree climbing, hang-gliding etc ...)
