About Helen Donaldson

I have worked in the midlands for many years but lived on the south coast as a child and absolutely loving coming down to Highcliffe to escape the rush of daily life. This property is being rented for the first time in 2018 but I also have a Gite in France that I have rented out for holiday lets over the last 15 years with excellent reviews and many return visitors (check out the reviews on Brittany Ferries property ref QA1196)

Helen Donaldson purchased this bungalow in 2017

Why Helen Donaldson chose New Milton

I love being able to just park up and walk to the beach and shops with everything I need within a 10 minutes. I also enjoy walking along the beach to Mudeford Quay (45mins) stopping off for a coffee or glass of wine along the way or for afternoon tea at Highcliffe Castle where there is often weekend events/entertainment. I enjoy cycling and the New Forest is just great.

On a summers evening there is nothing better than sitting in a cliff top bar watching the sun go down. The Cliff House at Barton on Sea has an excellent Gin and Beer festival 23-27 Aug 2018

I have also used Hinton Admiral station (1.5miles) to commute to Waterloo in 1hr50m

What makes this bungalow unique

Backing onto the Chewton Bunny Nature reserve the garden is visited daily by a variety of birds and also the occasional bunny.

Well sized and equipped clean bungalow in a cracking location

  • 5 of 5

Just returned from a very relaxing week in Highcliffe. Fantastic location, backing onto Chewton Bunny and 5 mins from the sea through the tree lined path. Ideally secluded and enclosed garden, especially with a dog. Helen, the owner, really did make it a home from home with all the bits and pieces left around the place. We would highly recommend the bungalow and the area generally. Tesco and Co-op, with all you need, are a 10 minute walk away on the High Street. Similian Thai and Daniels Fish and Chips are worth a visit. Thanks very much!

Excellent Property Would Definitely Recommend

  • 5 of 5

We had a fabulous week at Highcliffe. The property is is a haven for relaxation sitting in the garden enjoying the many birds that visit. The weathet was glorious my only reservation is the lack of shade on the decking area an umbrella would have been a welcome addition. The property is well presented especially the kitchen which was exceptionally well equipped. We didn't venture far as it was so hot during the day we tended to go out late afternoon but had many enjoyable walks especially Mudeford Quay. We definitely hope to return. Many thanks Helen

Owner's Response: Many thanks for your review Patricia, glad you enjoyed your stay. Just off to Highcliffe myself for a week so thanks for your suggestion re a decking parasol, I’ll pick one up in the week and leave for the summer guests. Hopefully the great weather continues! Helen

Fantastic property, well equipped in a great location

  • 5 of 5

The owner, Helen, was very helpful both before and during our stay especially as we were allowed to take our dog with us and make the most of being by the seaside.

Our stay at the property was wonderful. The garden is a wonderful sun trap, the bungalow was clean and well organised and I don’t think we’ve ever seen such a well equipped kitchen. The location was quiet and set backing onto a nature reserve so we saw lots of wildlife in the garden. And the beach was just a 10 minute walk through the woods which our children loved. No complaints at all and are very tempted to visit the property again in the future.

This property is a Home from Home, If you like walks to the beach, hear birds first thing in the morning, central to Highcliffe, New Milton, Christchurch, etc., this is the place to go. We did have the best week of sunshine for a very long time.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return.

We were kept fully informed of everything about the property,. and the

property had everything needed to enjoy the stay. Highly recommended.

Thank you for everything.

Best regards,

Val & Les and Friends
