A little disappointed
This villa was classed as luxury - debatable!. We booked for 9 adults (the villa sleeps 10) for a special birthday celebration 14 November for 7 nights.
Firstly the positives, a wonderful location with great views. Upstairs bedrooms benefited from the amazing views and en-suite bathrooms. Well equipped kitchen with everything we needed. Dishwasher, washing machine etc. Hot tub was fab, good choice of programmes / films to watch on the TV. The villa support team were very helpful.
Unfortunately now the negatives. We paid for the heated pool and hot tub and it was stated that the pool and hot tub would be heated on arrival. Long story short, the heated pool wasn't heated. It was fixed 2 days before we were due to leave, which was a real shame as this was our main reason for booking this villa. In our view the pool should have been checked before we arrived and any problems identified at that time. Anyway on a positive, the engineers were straight round to try and fix it.
The living area wasn't big enough to accommodate 9 adults, not enough soft seating. I can see in the summer months this wouldn't be a problem, but very different in the late season months, where it is too cold to sit outside after sunset. We appreciate the water system in Cyprus and that the water is heated by solar panels which would allow a hot shower for two people. There was the ability to re-heat the water but unfortunately for everyone to have a hot shower, we needed to allow up to 3 hours for this. At least one or two people per day had a luke warm / cold shower. Again not a problem in the summer months but an issue in the winter months.
The 2 upstairs bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, the other 3 bedrooms are downstairs. The rooms downstairs are OK apart from the room with the single beds. These beds are very low to the ground (two older people in our party had requested single beds) but when they saw the room it was obvious they wouldn't get in and out of the beds. There is also only one very small obscure window in this room, meaning the room was extremely dark. Being the single member of the group, I begrudgingly took the room. There was one toilet and bathroom downstairs (not separated).
The villa does need a bit of TLC i.e broken steps to the pool, broken shower head in one of the en-suite bathrooms, paint peeling off the wall.
In summary be aware of negatives if booking over winter months & party size. Would we return .. mixed family views!
Firstly we’d like to thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback. Positive or negative, it helps our company to grow and improve on the services we like to offer our guests.
We are very sorry to hear that you experienced some issues during your stay with us and we have taken the time to investigate and address these issues and will reply to you personally.
With 40 villas on our portfolio and with each villa made up of thousands of components, I’m sure you can appreciate it can happen from time to time that there is a failure or breakage of some description and even though our villas are looked after with the best possible care by our professional Property Management Team and they get thoroughly checked before our guests arrive with the main aim to prevent any mechanical defaults, sometimes issues occur that are beyond our control.
With thousands of very happy guests, many who come to visit us time after time, please be assured that we take any and all disappointments very seriously and make every possible endeavour to seek remedies and solutions.
As promised, we will look forward to taking care of you personally as we do with all our guests.
We recommend the lovely sandy Coral Bay beach and Corallia Beach. Both beaches are family oriented and great for swimming, sunbathing and snorkeling. Sunbeds and umbrellas are available, water sports are on offer and there are beach cafés providing refreshments. Coral Bay Beach and Corallia Beach are on the main bus route into Coral Bay.
There are several excellent golf courses in Cyprus, all of them around the popular Tourist areas of Paphos: Aphrodite Hills, Tsada, Secret Valley, Minthis Hills, Elea. All within approximately 30-45 minutes drive.
Special Interest Holidays
Exploring Coral Bay, Paphos and everywhere in between, gives you a raft of available activities and attractions. Water sports and jet skis, quad bikes, jeep safaris, mini golf, heritage sites, go-karting, horse riding, bowling, modern shopping facilities, a Water Park and the Paphos Bird & Animal Park to mention a few!
Although car hire is recommended to help you make the most of your stay, there is a great bus service that connects you to Coral Bay and Paphos. There is a bus stop a couple of minutes walk away from the villa. It is approximately 33km from Paphos International Airport, with direct flights from all major airports. Daily flights with EasyJet and RyanAir from the UK can be found with great prices. Larnaca Airport is approx a 1 hour and 45 minute drive via a very well maintained highway.
Villa Oasis is set in a fantastic location a few minutes walk to a fantastic beach, a couple of kiosks and a handful of bars and restaurants including a CVR favourite Sea You Beach Bar and great bus routes into Coral Bay and Paphos.
The area of Coral Bay has a whole strip of great restaurants, everything from traditional Greek Meze to International cuisine, bars, clubs, a mini-amusement park with mini golf, shops, bakery, mini-markets, a bank, coffee shops, a bookshop, florist, chemist, a couple of hairdressers and loads more.
Paphos offers a variety of things to do and offers everything you would expect from such a renowned holiday destination. Paphos is one of the few year-round holiday destinations in Europe with blue sky and sunshine almost every day. January and February weather can be unpredictable, but we often stay during these months and find it very nice compared to the UK winter gloom.
Paphos is on the UNESCO List of World Cultural Heritage. The Tombs of the Kings is one of the main attractions to see and many other historical sites as well as the Old Town with its famous indoor market.
You can visit the Venetian fort and nearby Mosaics or take a boat trip from Paphos Harbour, enjoy spa treatments, golf or take a diving course. Sea Caves, the Akamas Peninsula and Troodos Mountains have the most amazing views, or why not take a car and drive around the island and explore small villages. There is plenty to do and see in Paphos!
Would be considered upon request. Please feel free to say hi and make a proposal :)
