Casa Palmeiras is a traditional Portugese holiday home, situated on a small secluded estate of just four villas set in beautiful grounds and pretty surroundings. With its own road and gated security entrance this private complex is just a short fifteen minutes walk away to the beautiful Castelo Beach and resort on the sunny Algarvean coast.
Villa Palmeiras is also conveniently within an easy walk of nearby shops and restaurants and yet offers you the peace and tranquillity of an exclusive space just to yourselves. Arrival/Departure Day: During the Summer Season the change over day is on a Thursday
Palmeiras is one of just four villas in this private cul-de-sac, each with their own private pool so a fabulous base for an entertaining private family holiday, or for groups of families wanting to be close to each other but still have their own space.
Established pretty palm trees line a private walled garden and there’s a lawn to one side. In addition, there is another wonderful grassed area separating Palmeiras from its nearest neighbour, Villa Mirasol - a perfect area to spread out for family games and entertainment.
Villa Palmeiras has a large private swimming pool surrounded by a terrace for your sun loungers, and in addition, there’s a separate children’s small pool. Pool Heating is an additional chargeable option, just add it to your booking form. There’s also a Barbeque Grill and dining furniture for alfresco dining whenever you feel like it.
There is plenty of parking right next to the villa if you’re using a car.
Inside, the villa is filled with lots of natural light from patio doors leading on to the terraces. You’ll walk into a comfortable lounge dining room where you’ll find a modern TV which receives Freeview English channels as well as a DVD player. We’ve kept the kitchen modern with integrated appliances including a dishwasher.
There are two bedrooms on the ground floor. One is a master double bedroom with patio doors leading out to the pool and terrace, and it has an en-suite bathroom with a bath and a shower. There is also a twin bedroom with built in wardrobes and to the side is a separate house shower bathroom.
Upper Floor areas
Marble stairs lead to the upstairs where you’ll find a small sitting area and patio doors that lead out onto to a large terrace with views across the surrounding countryside.
There are two further bedrooms upstairs - a double and a twin: The twin bedroom has an en-suite shower bathroom and also has doors leading to a small private terrace. The double bedroom has an en-suite full bathroom and doors to a private terrace.

This secluded private estate is set back from the road that leads to the impressive sandy coves of Castelo Beach. There are several superb alternative beaches also within easy reach by car, or a short taxi ride, including Albufeira and its thriving resort.
There's a small choice of restaurants and a supermarket within a short walk, whilst a larger choice of places to eat, shops and attractions can be reached within a short drive.

LOCAL AREAS - ALBUFEIRA & THE ALGARVE
Bars and restaurants
There are two restaurants within 15 minutes' walk that get good reviews, and are close enough to try out. There’s also Scoobys Pool bar.
Albufeira, one of the Algarve's most popular resorts, is 3 miles to the east, boasting an expansive sandy beach and all manner of shopping amenities, bars and restaurants.
The quaint Portuguese village of Guia is 3 ¼ away and being the birth place of the typical Algarvean dish spicy chicken piri piri, it's well worth a visit for an evening meal
Alternatively, the lively resort of Praia D'Oura is 1 ½ miles further along the coast with a thriving nightlife.
Local markets and shopping
There’s a well-stocked supermarket within 15 minutes' walk.
Alternatively, Albufeira, one of the Algarve's most popular resorts, is 3 miles east, easily accessible by car, with all manner of shopping amenities.
On a Tuesday, there is a local market in Albufeira and the municipal fruit, fish and vegetable market is open every morning, except Sundays. This is located between Praia D'Oura and Albufeira.
The Algarve Shopping Centre in Guia is a short drive away and has a large supermarket and designer shops.
The Villa complex’s central location means that anywhere across the Algarve can be reached in an hour or so by car.
Castelo is isolated surrounded by breathtaking rock formations, and often described as one of the finest cove beaches in the Algarve. The beach is only a short walk from restaurants or easily accessed by car, with steps and a ramp onto the sand.
There are several other stunning beaches along this stretch of coast too, such as Coelha, Gale, Sao Rafael and Praia Grande. All have their own snack bars or restaurant – and are worth a visit to enjoy a relaxing beach day in the sun.
The Algarve also has a wide variety of things to do for children including the popular Zoomarine Oceanarium and dolphin display which is around 20 minutes drive from the villas.
Zoomarine is an exotic marine life theme park home to hundreds of fantastic and fascinating sea creatures. The park includes dolphins, sea lions, turtles, a shark, a museum and an alligator farm as well as a mini-zoo, exotic birds and tropical fish. Some of the best shows in Europe are staged at Zoomarine such as sea lion, dolphin and eagle shows. It is advisable to arrive early and plan an itinerary for the day.
It is also possible to interact with dolphins but you should call at least 2 days in advance. Even though it is chargeable, it is very popular.
Entertainment at the theme park also includes fairground rides, swimming pools, shops and a cinema.

Sand Sculpture Festival
The International Sand Sculpture Festival, held in Pera, takes place every year from May to October. The festival celebrates a different theme each year and takes the 50 international artists up to 8 weeks to prepare for. The sculptures are an impressive sight both during the day and at night when they are illuminated with coloured lights. Situated in Santa Eulalia, Albufeira, Parque Aventura comprises of a paintball centre and various adventure courses through the trees made up of zip wires, bridges and ropes. Aqualand Waterslide Park
Formerly known as 'The Big One,' Aqualand has spectacular gardens and is probably the largest waterpark in the Algarve. The names of the slides give you an idea of what to expect – Hydra, Raging Rapids, Banzai Boggan, Kamikaze, Surf Beach, Rainbow Park, Crazy Leap, Crazy Race &, Congo River! Users of the Kamikaze slide fall 26 metres vertically to the pool below in only four seconds!

The Algarve is renowned for its array of amazing courses and golfers will be spoilt for choice with several great courses in the area. The nearest course is at Salgados, about 2½ miles from the villa complex, located alongside Praia Grande.
Salgados golf course
Description: Eighteen holes, 6080 metres, Par 72
One of the many courses in the Algarve, it was once an aircraft landing strip and wetland area beside a bird sanctuary.
It has been compared to both a Scottish links course and a water-filled Florida course and if you enjoy water challenges this course is for you. The par 4 seventh is rated amongst the best holes in Portugal. The final three holes decrease in difficulty allowing golfers to ease up after a testing first 15.

Pine Cliffs golf course
Description: Nine holes, 2274 metres, Par 33
This course is perched on a cliff top above Falesia, one of the Algarve's most stunning beaches. The 5 Star Sheraton Algarve Hotel overlooks the umbrella pine trees that line the fairways.
The most testing hole is the dog-leg sixth with its small landing area for the drive. The second shot is uphill to a backward sloping green with bunkers in front.
