The Old Chequer is situated in the hamlet of Draycott and is Grade II listed, former 17th century public house, one of the oldest houses in the village, dating back to the 1600s. The property has been sympathetically restored and features an inglenook fireplace, exposed beams, Cotswold stone walls and flagstone floor. Outside there is an enclosed pretty cottage garden with patio area.
Draycott is a small hamlet located between Moreton-in-Marsh and Blockley. Easily accessible from London with a two hour drive or a ninety minute train journey from Paddington to Moreton-in-Marsh, making it easy to escape to the countryside and witness the marvels of this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty including nearby Bourton-on-the-Water, Chipping Campden and Stow-on-the-Wold, to name but a few.
