About Melissa Hogg
Kintala is owned by Richard and Melissa Hogg and was Richard,s family home. The house was built in 1963 by Richard,s parents Fred and Daisy. Kintala was built in a green field site at the edge of the river. The gardens were designed and lovingly planted by Daisy , a women of great vision who gathered ideas from gardens on her travels around the world and brought them back to create her own Eden. We have thoroughly enjoyed returning the house and garden to its former glory and hope that you enjoy staying at Kintala. The house name was influenced by Kintail in the Scottish Highlands, the homeplace of Daisy,s mother.
Why Melissa Hogg chose Limavady
The Roe Valley is a stunning valley surrounded by the Sperrin mountains. Kintala,s central location makes all of the North of Ireland easily accessible for exploring on day trips. We have full fishing rights along the garden boundary, both on the River Roe and the Owenbeg River. If you wish to fish in season you can do so by downloading the appropriate licence at [ ]

Perfect home + central location to all points of interest in Northern Ireland!
Kintala is a wonderful home with all the modern amenities. Very comfortable, clean and cozy—yet, lots of room to accommodate large families. The property is lovely and the views of the river are stunning. We really enjoyed evening walks along the pathway that meandered around the river—so beautiful! The location was also a great home base for day trips to Belfast, Derry and points of interest along the Causeway Coastal route. Richard and Melissa were great hosts and very helpful for recommendations to the surrounding areas, restaurants and great places to get some running in. Overall, we had a fantastic time in Northern Ireland and would be happy to return to Kintala for another stay!
