La Porcherie has a modern kitchen - dining space on ground level. The French doors open to a huge garden with two barbecues and wooden garden furniture. Both bedrooms and a bathrooms are in the first floor and an attic bedroom with twin beds (ideal for kids!) right on top of the house.
La Porcherie is one of six renovated houses. The main emphasis is nature, safety and privacy. The pool offers cool water and occasional company to share a glass of wine and a good discussion.
La Porcherie is in the heart of Dordogne. The villages are part of real France, unspoilt and unique. The area is famous for its wine and cheese and organising a tasting is easy. Local markets burst with organic produce. Bigger towns are just a car-trip away. Verteillac and Saint Severin are small villages with all amenities from bakery to pharmacy and less than 15 minutes away. The market town of Riberac is 17 minutes by car and the Friday market is a must. Aubeterre-sur-Dronne with river beaches and inviting village square si 20 min. away. The cities of Perigueux and Angouleme can be reached in an hour. Bordeaux and Saint Emilion are ideal for a day trip, the distance to Lusignac is 120 km. Archachon's oysters and lagoon takes 2 hours with stops to local bakeries for a coffee and croissant.
To profit the area a rental car is a must. The Airport of Bergerac is just an hour away. The area is ideal for cyclists and the winding country lanes attract walkers.
