About the property

Beautifully decorated 2 bed house, practically on the sands of Porth Beach

Offering self catering family accommodation, the house has one double bedroom overlooking the beach and one twin room. A double sofa bed in the lounge can also be used, and a travel cot and highchair are available. There is off-road allocated parking for one car, and an outside terrace. Amenities include free WiFi, Sonos hifi, tablet PC with Spotify account for music streaming, Smart tv, washer/dryer, gas central heating, gas hob and electric fan oven, microwave, fridge and freezer. Bed linen and towels included. No pets and no smoking.

The popular Mermaid Inn is seconds away, serving a great menu and local ales, and within a 15 minute walk is a beach bar with Cornish gins and live music located at Lusty Glaze, voted Sunday Times Beach of the Year 2017.

We loved the house as soon as we walked through the front door for the first time. It needed some work and we have spent many (many) hours finding the perfect furniture and furnishings, that we also thought other people would enjoy, and feel relaxed in. Nothing beats waking up in the morning, opening the blind and sitting up in bed looking at the beach!

About The Owner

Hi! We're Lorraine and Chris and we have a 1 year old called Layla. We live in Bristol but the Newquay area is really special to us, and Chris used to holiday in Porth every year as a child so it goes way back. When our daughter was born we knew we wanted her to love the beach and sea air as much as we do, and were determined to find somewhere where we could holiday together as a family for many years. We decided to also advertise it for holiday lets because we can only use it around once a month, and we love it so much we thought other people might too.

Why The Owner chose Porth

We loved the house as soon as we walked through the front door for the first time. It needed some work and we have spent many (many) hours finding the perfect furniture and furnishings, that we also thought other people would enjoy, and feel relaxed in. Nothing beats waking up in the morning, opening the blind and sitting up in bed looking at the beach!

What makes this house unique

The location is undoubtedly pretty special, because it is just so close to the beach. It's also one of those houses that just has a nice feeling when you step through the door.

From a practical point of view, having a dedicated parking space is really handy.

A great place to come home to after a day of touring the beautiful north Cornwall

We are a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids) and found this house perfect. It had every modern convenience with a Seaview and walking distance to the Porth beach. Very comfortable with an outdoor patio to watch the sunset. Perfect base for seeing all the sights which we did in spades. Chris provided great communication and wonderful tips prior and during our stay. My only sadness was having to leave. I would definitely recommend this house and would stay again. Thanks so much xx
