Mincarlo is a great property to stay and explore the amazing sights that West Cornwall has to offer.

The property has 4 double bedrooms (master with ensuite, bedroom 2 with bunk bed and double bed), large kitchen with range cooker and conservatory. Outside there is an extensive lawn, parking for 4 cars and access to a double garage for storage of bicycles, kayaks, surfboards and beach equipment.

Smaller groups welcome (2+) during term time, prices available upon request.

Why Patrick and Vashti chose Saint Hilary

Location location location! We love the location of Mincarlo, its just a short walk to local amenities, but still feels very rural. We also like the privacy of the garden, and views across the fields towards St Ives/Gwithian

What makes this house unique

We rebuilt Mincarlo from 2005-2014, and is fully insulated with efficient heating, Mains smoke alarms, burglar alarms and LED lighting. It also has the benefit of hard flooring throughout.

Home from home!

Mincarlo is a beautiful, comfortable and spacious family home with a large garden and private parking. Its ideal location meant that we were never more than a few minutes away from some of the most amazing cornish beaches and beauty spots. So much to see, do and explore, we ran out of days! It was a real treat to come back to the peace and comfort of Mincarlo each evening after a busy day exploring! We cannot recommend enough and look forward to staying again!

Lovely large family home.

A lovely smiley welcome from the owners and with the temperature below zero outside,this was a lovely house to spend our time in. Not only was it warm and welcoming to come back to after our bracing walks out in the cold, but when the fire was roaring it really felt like home. With plenty of outdoor covered space for wet walking gear it meant the inside of the house stayed dry and warm. Fantastic country walks, in all directions, and within a little drive stunning coastal walks too. With local National Trust properties nearby there was just to much for us to do during our short stay. Plenty of off road car parking space and easy to park close to the house to unload and load suitcases etc. We had a brilliant time and would wholeheartedly recommend a stay at this house... we will definitely be back! Hopefully, in the summer when we will be able to get outside and enjoy a lovely sunset in the beautiful garden.

Fantastic family house near both coast lines

We have stayed at Mincarlo every year for the last seven years; we love the place.

The location is excellent because of its position to both coast lines. We tend to mix up our holiday, with quieter days on Perranuthnoe beach, walks around Marazion / St Michael's mount, surfing in Gwithian and chill time in St Ives. I often take my mountain bike because there are some nice routes from Mincarlo. There are also a number of good pubs, which are a short drive away.

The house itself is very well furnished and we normally go with just our family, we have two daughters and one dog. However, we have also stayed there with my parents and it also worked really well. There is ample parking, a protected dog friendly garden and is nicely set up for evening relaxation, including a log fire for those chilly nights.

The owners have always been keen to go the extra mile to ensure we have a good, relaxing time.

Wonderful house in an ideal location

This lovely property offers all that could be required for a hassle free holiday in this idyllic part of Cornwall. Private and fully equipped, and within easy reach of the coast and all necessary amenities it enabled us to escape the strains of modern city life and recharge our souls in a way that few other properties could. Great value for money, we can't recommend it highly enough, and we will be back!
