Newly decorated holiday cottage in the quiet village of Dywran on the Isle of Anglesey.

2 large bedrooms, both with double beds that have been decorated to a high standard, large bathroom with a luxurious roll top bath. It has a beautiful living room with a wood burner and freesat tv channels, dining room with large table to enjoy the delicious meals you can cook in our fully equipped kitchen!

Please note that duvets and pillows are provided but guests must bring their own bed linen i.e. Pillow cases, sheets and duvet covers. Aldi, Tesco and Asda are less than 20 minutes away by car.

3.8 miles from the gorgeous sandy blue flag beach at Newborough which welcomes dogs in certain areas. Take a walk along the beach to Llandwyn island or enjoy the clear blue sea, otherwise there are miles of woodland for walking, running or cycling.

Snowdonia is less than 12 miles away. Why not visit the snowdon railway?

There are many restaurants near by, we recommend the Marram Grass (literally just down the road) or Dylans in Menai Bridge...but make sure you make a booking as they are very popular!

You also can't beat the Red Boat ice cream parlour in beautiful Beaumaris.

There are so many indoor and outdoor activities within easy reach of this beautiful area.

Please contact us for enquiries for shorter stays, we are happy to accommodate 3 nights or more in the off peak season.

About Bill Whitmore

Bill & Lynne have lived in this house for many years, raising their family there. They moved away for Bill to pursue a career in teaching and Lynne a career in Occupational Health. Bill is a science teacher and Head of Year and aside from working, Lynne likes to spend time with her horse. The couple have spent may years renovating and improving this cottage, something which they both appreciate is a lifelong commitment.

Bill Whitmore purchased this cottage in 1990

Why Bill Whitmore chose Dwyran

This is a real character cottage with a warm and interesting feel to it. While modernised it has lots of original features and maintains its charm. It is ideally situated for many places to visit but it is also a nice place to relax and stay in if you prefer. Whether you spend days out exploring or staying in to enjoy the tranquillity, once you light the fire in the living room and relax, you will find no better place to unwind.

Pleasantly surprised

  • 5 of 5

We were lucky with the weather and had a good look at the coast up to Holyhead and Beaumaris in the other direction. We also ventured back to the mainland up to Llandudno and Caernarvon. Lots of interesting places to visit along the coastline with good places to eat.

The cottage is comfortable and pleasant and handy for Newborough Beach, which is free after 5pm.

Lovely, cosy, quaint, cottage couldn't fault it!

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was a perfect setting for a perfect holiday. Trips to Newborough Forest and Beach, Beaumaris, Cemaes Bay, Moelfre and The Dingle Nature Reserve where we spotted a red squirrel (thrilled). Did some hiking and cycling and found many spots for future expeditions. The cottage is great for taking a dog to and with many beaches and pubs allowing dogs it makes a wonderful family friendly place to holiday, will definitely be returning. The two single airbeds came in handy for my two visiting grandchildren just brought two sleeping bags for posh glamping. Already saving for the next trip!
