Very quiet and lovely neighborhood!

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved staying in the Little Cottage. It was super quiet at night and Dominique was very accommodating! It really is a gem. And we loved the neighborhood. I will say though - for American travelers - I would not really say that the cottage has A/C. There is one portable AC unit that you can use either upstairs or downstairs, but you cannot cool off both rooms at the same time. If you are traveling any time other than July or August, this should not be an issue. We really appreciated the use of a washer and dryer while we were staying there with our two children, ages 6 and 8. I would definitely stay there again and hope to sometime soon! Thanks Dominique!

Absolutely wonderful!

  • 5 of 5

Simply the best! We loved our time at the cottage. Our family of four were so blessed to stay in this slice of Parisian heaven! We can't say enough about Dominique and Jacques! They were generous with their time and attention. We truly felt like they welcomed each of us wholeheartedly! They were friendly and very informative with recommendations for everything we needed to know for our 5 day stay! The cottage was very comfortable for the four of us-Mom, Dad and two grown children. The cottage was very clean, safe, charming and felt like home. The surrounding neighborhood was lovely and convenient with nearby restaurants, grocery stores, bakery, wine shop and cheese shop. We miss it already and can't wait to go back! Thank you Dominique and Jacques for your hospitality!

ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL !!!

  • 5 of 5

my 3rd time in paris & the best ever because of the graciousness of dominique & family. the cottage is a haven after being out & about. the metro is a short quick walk from the cottage PLUS very close by there are wonderful bakeries, butcher shops where one can buy delicious homemade entrees & salads, grocery stores & restaurants....the 9 days just were not enough! i could go on & on about this area....2-3 times a week street markets, the ponte de vanves flea market on saturdays/sundays. dominique, her husband & handsome son speak fluent english , are a wealth of knowledge & are always willing to help in any way. sleeping was good as the matresses were just the right firmness for us plus at night one could smell the jasmine drifting into the 3 french doors that i kept open all night as there was total privacy & safely. there is no doubt in my mind that i will be back!

Charming serene "cottage" in the middle of Paris.

  • 5 of 5

Very lovely 1 bedroom on second floor with pullout sofa in living room. Hosts are extremely accommodating and helpful with recommendations for things to do. We enjoyed coming home at the end of a tiring day of sightseeing with our "emporter" (take away) dinner and dine in the lovely garden with a glass of wine.

Paris living

  • 5 of 5

We returned our rental to Charles De Gaulle, and then boarded the Metro for a long 2 hr nightmare. We were given the wrong instructions on line changes, by a person, working for the Metro. I had messaged Dominique that we would be arriving between 4 - 5 pm. we didn't arrive until 7.

The cottage was superb. We would go and get fresh baguettes, croissants, and quiche every morning. Have our tea and coffee and then head out for the sights. Having the Paris Metro App is the way to go. You provide the start and stop and it'll tell you where to change and what line to take, if necessary.

Dominique was very informative and helpful. Her recommendation for the patisserie was spot on. We had tried two that were close by but a little "stretch of the legs" was well worth it. During our travels around the city, we would eat at local cafe's using Google Maps for recommendations. We were never disappointed.

The surrounding neighborhood is filled with shops, cafe's, small convenience stores, open air markets, fresh produce stores, butchers, fish mongers. There are large stores that carry grocery, liquor, and household items. It's a chain and goes by the name of Franprix.

During all of our travels in France, we met only kind and helpful people. Sometimes they would offer to help with directions or even with our luggage. Nobody was disrespectful or upset that we didn't speak French.
