At Mill House, with its breathtaking sea views from most rooms, you’ll enjoy the luxury of space from the flowing living areas, and bedrooms in this luxury holiday home. Perched high above the stunning Sennen Cove with its famous surfing beach a short walk away, this detached house really has the Wow factor and is set behind electric gates within its immaculate and spacious gardens. Beautifully curated by specialists Archavon Interiors, the huge four bedroomed house oozes a quiet confidence that is distinctly modern, where style and comfort seamlessly merge.

The far west is loved for its wild untamed beauty. The crashing waves of the Atlantic, the barren moors, stunning beaches and quaint villages unaffected by the pace of modern life. Now you can experience that raw beauty from the luxurious embrace of one of the far west’s best homes. Mill House. Relax in the generous gardens. Curl up on one of our favourite sofas. Or if you’re lucky enough to have the master bedroom, sneak away with a book and a drink to absorb one of the best views in town or simply curl up on the sumptuous loaf bed after a day exploring.

Few houses achieve this high standard, far fewer are available for holiday use and we are confident you will want to return to this most special home.

LIVING: Downstairs the whole family can enjoy their own space in the vast yet comfortable open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area. In the lounge, the large OLED TV has a full BT TV package, and there’s SONOS for streaming music and radio. Maybe though you’ll prefer to enjoy the superb sofa with a book and the doors open to the garden. Upstairs the Club Room takes lounging to another level. Sumptuous may be an overused term – but it’s perfectly suited to this large lounge with its deep balcony and sea views towards Cape Cornwall. I’m sure the grown ups will retreat to the Club Room for relaxation after dinner and dream of creating a similar sanctuary at home.

COOKING AND EATING: The kitchen has all that you need to create those feasts that you never find time for at home. There’s a large American style fridge freezer, and a separate small fridge too. Two Bosch electric ovens and a microwave, with a SMEG five-burner gas hob to ensure you can welcome the whole family to dinner. The dining table seats 10, while the breakfast bar enables conversations with the cook at work. On that subject – if you’d like a special event catered for do ask, we have some superb contacts.

SLEEPING: Each of the four bedrooms has its own character and all offer generous space and excellent mattresses for a great night’s sleep.

On the second floor are two bedrooms:

MASTER BEDROOM - Oh to sleep in a room like this! A super king bed from Loaf with their best mattress, a large walk in shower in the en-suite, and a walk in wardrobe. All that would be great, but here you also have the ever changing views to absorb from your own private balcony, or from the beautiful Lamino Scandi-modern classic armchair. THE SUPERIOR BEDROOM - This most generous bedroom has a king sized bed, en-suite with walk in shower, plenty of storage space and a funky desk from which to write your memoires, or maybe a post card.

On the first floor are a further two bedrooms:

MAP ROOM - You tell us your ideal sleeping combination for this calming room. A super king bed, or large twin beds – the zip and lock bed means the choice is yours. THE WINNIE ROOM - A brightly lit room with twin beds and fitted wardrobes.

BATHING: Both the top floor rooms have en-suites with walk in showers. On the middle floor the family bathroom has a super comfortable curved bath that even has a TV at the end. There are also twin basins and a walk in shower.

UTILITY ROOM: The large ground floor utility room will swallow all your coats, shoes, and drying towels. It has a washing machine, a dryer, a heated drying rack and the most stylish downstairs loo we’ve ever seen.

GARDENS: The simple gardens surround the house and offer plenty of space for cooking and dining outside (there’s a great barbecue for the outdoor chef). There’s room to play, soak up the sunshine, and plan the week ahead. There’s even an outside shower ideal for stripping off wetsuits after a day in the sea.

LOCATION: Often known as The Bay Where The Dolphins Play, Sennen Cove has a beautiful Blue Flag beach, two surf schools, a restaurant, an ancient pub, fish and chips and café too. The coastal walking from here offers both gentle and more challenging options with Lands End and Cape Cornwall within easy reach. You’re not restricted to Sennen though. There are five other sandy beaches within ten miles.

And yes – you may well see dolphins in the bay.

PARKING: There’s electric gates leading to space for three cars on the drive.

WI-FI: Mill House has reasonable wi-fi, you won’t get fast wi-fi anywhere this far west but its perfect for surfing the web or checking facebook and emails.

ACCESSIBILITY: While Mill House is on the flat, and has a downstairs toilet, the house would not be suitable for guests unable to climb stairs.

OUT AND ABOUT: There’s so much in the immediate area, many of our guests don’t use their car for the whole of their stay. You’ll have water sports and the great outdoors on your doorstep, but if that all sounds a little energetic it’s also a fantastic place to kick back and relax. There are several fine dining restaurants within a short drive, and good pubs to walk to. The excellent Sennen Farmer’s Market happens on Tuesday mornings and is just up the road. Beautiful towns and villages like St Ives and Mousehole are all within easy reach – they’re great to visit, and you’ll be glad to come home to the relative quiet of Mill House at the end of the day.

Pets: One or two dogs are welcome at £25 each per stay. Sennen Beach allows dogs during the summer before 8am and after 7pm. Nearby Gwenver Beach is dog friendly all year.

Please note we love dogs here at The Cornish Way but the Mill House is immaculate. Pets are not allowed upstairs or on any of the furniture much of which is very valuable. You know your four legged friend better than us so if it is likely to climb on furniture it may not be the best choice of property and you should take care to ensure no extra charges are made for cleaning or damage.

Short breaks: 3 or 4 night short breaks are available outside the peak weeks with changeover either Friday or Monday. These are at a generous discount off the weekly rate. Don’t worry if you need to book dates that don’t quite fit, just call or email and we will do our best to make it work.

About Seb Blakemore

Seb has been lucky enough to have lived in West Cornwall for the past 7 years. After coming down for an extended break he fell in love with this beautiful area and never left!

Based in St Just not far from Sennen, Seb took on an old wreck and worked to create a comfortable home. This is now also the headquarters for The Cornish Way who look after luxury cottages for a select group of owners and their lucky guests.

Why Seb Blakemore chose Sennen

This has to be one of the best properties in Sennen and really has the wow factor when you walk in. It is a privilege to manage it for the lovely Owners, Martin and Annette. Location wise it doesn't get better. It's at the top of Cove Road so easy to walk down to the stunning beach but just far enough away to have peace and quiet if you want. Sennen is one of my favourite beaches in Cornwall and a spectacular spot whether surfing in the summer or storm watching in the winter.

The style, space and spectacular views. Its all set in lovely gardens behind the electric gates and is a genuinely luxury property.

Fabulous property, high-end furnishings and excellent management.

Based on the photos I knew the house would be good... but it totally surpassed my expectations. It is spacious and beautifully decorated. The kitchen is very well equipped. Internet worked well. Seb is quick to respond & met all of our requests. You will not regret staying here.

Wow! This place is truly wonderful.

It's hard to find the words to tell travellers how good Mill House is. If we didn't go out for the week we'd still have had an amazing time.

The house is beautiful. The interiors stunning.

We were the first guests and yet the house has been so well considered there was absolutely nothing lacking.

The absolute blow away moment has to be waking in the super comfortable master bed and having your first cup of tea in the lounger looking out across the ever changing sea to Cape Cornwall.

West Cornwall is so good to visit in winter, but that's a secret I share reluctantly!

I urge everyone who can afford to stay at Mill House to put it at the top of your list.
