Set upon one of the most prestigious and sought after locations on the Golf Resort is this stunning 2BR first floor penthouse apartment. The apartment is situated on the second floor of a block of 4 apartments front-line to the 18th fairway/ green.The apartment consists of a large lounge/ diner separate fully kitchen four piece bathroom suite two double bedrooms with fully fitted wardrobes one large furnished terrace access by both bedrooms one & the lounge and one furnished totally overlooked private roof terrace. The apartment overlooks the 18th fairway/green and has sea, mountain and communal pool views.The property has been fully redecorated and refurnished recently and has flat screen TV with almost all English and international (European) channels that one desire, Internet "WiFi" recently installed 2015 (access for a small fee), DVD-player, leather suite & dinning table with leather dinning chairs the private roof terrace has an outside shower & sun loungers for that all over tan! Ideal for families couples or even groups wanting to take advantage of the golf sun & sea. The beds are know all new (2017 november) and from IKEA, really relaxing to sleep in. The kitchen has been updated with a induction hob with place for 3 pots/ pans.

About Chris Fuxborg

We worked as a golf guides an entire winter season in Fuerteventura. We had never been there before but found the little oasis and tranquility that the island offers. We found our apartment right next to the 18th hole, 150 yards from the clubhouse. Everything is really good with the pool that is almost next door and bus service to the village / sea. You really live in a quiet area, but still a so central to all facilities available nearby. The climate we experienced as very stable and it was very rare to experience a full day overcast. We have also been there during the summer and then we have really enjoyed the golf course by our self. People have not really understood how good the golf course is also in summer.

See above........and this is an investment for our retirement in the future. The locals that we have been working with is really nice and everybody seems to be so calm. It looks like the word stress doesn't exist.

Wonderful apartment, amazing views.

On arrival Sue was very helpful and welcoming. The apartment is furnished to a very high standard, and the views front and back are amazing. Chris and Lena have obviously gone to a lot of trouble to ensure that their guests have a stress free and enjoyable holiday, and they have succeeded beyond expectations. They have every right to be proud of this apartment. The pool is very quiet and now has new sunbeds which arrived during our stay. The roof terrace is perfect for all day sun and for amazing sunsets. We have been visiting Fuerteventura for 8 years and can honestly say this is the best apartment we have stayed in. Thank you Chris and Lena for a wonderful holiday. Don and Wendy

Home from Home with Fantastic Views!

Just back from a fantastic week at Chris and Lena's apartment. Communication from Chris was excellent from the outset. The apartment is tastefully decorated throughout and has everything required for a relaxing holiday. The views from both the balcony and rooftop terrace are spectacular! The pool area is clean and well maintained, we frequently had the pool to ourselves despite the great weather! In summary, a great apartment that we would definitely return to, thank you Chris and Lena!

Owner's Response: Thank you for letting us have you as guests during your vacation and we hope to hear from you soon again. We are there for a few weeks of vacation and make further improvements in the apartment. We have replaced the glass hob on the stove for an Induction with seating for three plates. We have also ordered new beds for the guest room so that they are also top class. A new lighting in the kitchen at the sink and a new ceiling fan in the main bedroom. It's very importen to make the apartment as best as we can so the guest feels that they get good value for their stay. Thanks again for taking time for reviewing your stay with us.

A lovely apartment with all the amenities you could ask for, beautiful location with a good sized pool that was never full which was a real bonus.

Peaceful, great roof terrace and fab pool!

For us, perfect for two weeks in July. Well equipped, spotlessly clean apartment, the roof terrace is wonderful and the pool a great size. We had a hire car to explore the island but Caleta has lots of restaurants and a good beach, so a car isn't essential especially if you just come for a week. We made use of the handy shuttle bus from the hotel just around the corner if going into town for a meal and a taxi home in the evening is 3 or 4 euros from the shopping centre. Sue is lovely and very helpful, communication from Chris prior to arriving was prompt and accurate. We had a lovely time and hope to return! Thank you, Chris and Lena!

Lovely apartment, great pool, peaceful setting

The apartment itself was clean and well equipped with all you need in the kitchen and bathroom (although we found we couldn't slide open the bathroom window) together with very comfortable beds in both bedrooms and quality furniture throughout. The TV has a decent range of UK channels and, whilst there was BBC1 but no BBC2 which was unfortunate, sadly it did have Audio Description fixed on all ITV, C4 & C5 channels - this was distracting to us but may not be to other guests. Since there was a request in the welcome book not to change any TV settings, we didn't try but it would be good to be able to switch this off/on easily - I should make it clear that I didn't actually ask either Sue or Chris about this. The apartment has wonderful views of the golf course to one side and the delightful pool to the other - it's bigger than it looks, is kept in fantastic condition and, during our stay, was virtually all ours! There were 9 loungers and that was more than enough when we were there but it may be an issue if it gets busier in peak time. Also, some of the loungers had cracks in their middle and may benefit from replacing or updating. El Refugio was just what we were looking for as it was very quiet, peaceful and relaxing. There was easy access to El Atlantico or Caleta centre via the free bus service (or taxi if you wish) from the Hotel just around the corner. The bus timetable and Spanish translation for ordering a taxi are just 2 of the helpful touches to be found in the apartment. On only one occasion did we need to contact Chris direct and his demeanour was excellent. He was able to sort our issue (the TV signal had been lost for some hours), was friendly and polite in doing so and, if his evening had been interrupted, it didn't show so many thanks Chris! Aside from the few teething issues we have mentioned (and they were little issues) this was a lovely holiday apartment, that we have already recommended to friends and family and we certainly look forward to staying again.

The bathroom window is partially openable but a little sluggish but the right part is attached because the shower is on that side. The sunbeds around the pool will be replaced within a week with brand new according to our president for our community and more in number than before. The region of Fuerteventura is ideally located approx 3 hours and 40 minutes flying time from London offering all year round sun and stunning white sandy beaches to rival the Caribbean which incidentally is located approx 9 hours flying time from UK! With Ryanair currently flying direct from Dublin and Liverpool and from East Midlands, Birmingham and Stansted. The climate is excellent for golf and water sports and its rugged terrain offers some spectacular walking experiences. The resort of Calete de Fuste is approx 10 mins transfer time from the airport the resort is fronted by a white sandy horse shoe bay & marina the resort offers 2 golf courses (Spanish open 2004) 4 and 5* luxury hotels including the Sheraton and Grand Lux Elba Palace Hotel many restaurants & bars & Atlantico commercial centre plays host to ten pin bowling 10 screen cinema outside play area for children & many designer outlets all of this is within easy walking distance.

Golf: Two very nice golf courses situated in the immediate vicinity of the apartment approximately 10 min apart. Fuerteventura Golf is just outside the apartment overlooking the 18 hole fairway. The course is a typical park course and hosted the Spanish Open in 2004. It´s a varied championship course with challenging holes. The clubhouse is a part of the 5 star hotel Elba Palace there you can eat lunch/ dinner or maybe only have a nice cup of coffee. Both courses are really flat but if you need to hire a buggy it´s not a problem. Both courses have buggies, electric trolleys and really good golf equipment fore hire. Salinas Golf course is a little bit shorter and more like an open links course with strategic challenging holes. We can recommend to stay and enjoy the food in the clubhouse of Salinas.
