Take the most scenic route to the most secluded of vacation spots, and forget about the rest of the world for a while. Immerse in nature's music, peace and quiet in this very private venue. You will be isolated from neighbors the moment you get into the Chalet until you check out. You will be taken off your feet by the Chalet's architecture, floor plan, and many amenities, games, and water sport gear, etc. This is a treat to give yourself. As a hint, every time I enter that place, I still say wow and smile.

Hardwood floors, granite countertops, a huge master suite, finished basement, 2 kitchens, 3 family rooms, 3 fireplaces, 2 covered front porches, 4 covered rear decks, and intricate fireplace stone work are just some highlights of what the builder of this magnificent home achieved in a unique and stunning style. Interaction with Guests

I am available to help anytime. Please don't hesitate to call with questions. I have created a guest book with all the information you will need to function in the area as if you lived there.

The Neighborhood

Have a taste of Dawsonville/Gainesville, GA , where life is simple, but rich in history, hospitality and southern kindness for the visitor. We are in close proximity to Helen, GA and the Georgia Outlets. Neighboring Oakwood and Flowery Branch are a short distance away. All offer multiple restaurants and lots of Mom and Pop shops. Our favorites in Gainesville are: Lazy Bear Barbecue, Sweet Magnolia cafe, Loretta's country cooking oh! and yes! the colored egg a unique cute, small cafe with delicious breakfast and breads, sandwiches, desserts, salads. Also if you plan to rent our boat there are lots of lakeside restaurants for your enjoyment.

The North Georgia mountains have many unique vineyards offering great tasting and wine shops. During your visit, enjoy the Georgia wineries by taking a wine tour with VIP Southern tours or drive to Wolf mountain Winery. The Chateau Elan Winery is a unique winery, great tastings with a spa and great restaurants. You will love Chateau Elan! See the links below and explore! Do you enjoy the mountains? The North Georgia Mountains are not too far and offer many attractions. Gainesville has beautiful spas and a great Farmer's Market in its historical downtown where you find fresh fruits, flowers, vegetable and unique tasty, handmade, organic products. Little Italy pizzeria is an old Mom and Pop shop with an excellent pizza. Gainesville has plenty of coffees shops, unique restaurants, nails saloons, great spas like The Green Street spa on our historical Green Street, farms where you can picnic and relax. Multiple stables offering horseback riding, great, beautiful parks with boat ramps, movies, wineries, bakeries, ice creams, scenic drives and plenty of small ethnic restaurants.

We want to make your stay at Admiral's Mountain Lake Chalet a pleasant one by providing all necessary information to enhance your living at the lake. There is also a pontoon boat available for rental - This is very convenient since to rent a boat from a Marina in the area you have to pick it up and return it on time, and you are not given enough instructions or assistance on the water. If you rent our boat, we provide you with maps, instructions, and a GPS on board. The boat is delivered to you and when you are done, we just pick up the key. Call me if interested, and I will provide information to rent.

Getting Around

The home is close to the major shopping hubs of the city. Will provide you with a file with all information needed to get around the city, find gems and fun places as if you lived there.

Other Things to Note

We use natural cleaning product, no harsh chemicals. Our bed linens are 100% cotton, and so are our duvet covers. We put no inserts in our duvet covers so that we can easily wash them every time guests depart. Our beds are fresh, clean, and all mattresses are protected by covers that get sanitized and sprayed with natural products before the next guest arrives. Pillows are also sanitized with natural everyday products. All in all, we take pride in ensuring that the home is welcoming and impeccably clean.

Guestbook comments from the owner

“A gorgeous place, lots of room, beautiful view, beautiful clear lake, a real retreat. The house was spotless, the check-in and check-out procedures superior to any I have seen in the past. I can remember only one nicer place I have ever stayed in in my life - that was a castle in Germany.”

Just delightful !

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful lake-front home. Loads to do nearby, but the temptation is to hang out at the house, play pool, ping pong, board games, grill dinner, watch sports on (one of the many) TVs. The kitchen is unbelievably well equipped and the serious cooks in the family really appreciated this. With a fire in the fireplace and incredible lake view, we were wishing we could have stayed longer. And Ray is a great pleasure to deal with, and very prompt answering the couple of questions we had. Thanks, Ray, for our great family Christmas!

Owner's Response: Dear Leslie, This review is such an awesome way to wrap up 2017. I couldn't ask for a better review from someone who spent 10 nights of the Christmas holiday at one of my best lake houses. Ten nights make you an authority in judging a vacation rental. Your emphasis on hanging out most of your stay at the house as opposed to venturing out has staying power. It is a vivid testimony of the charm, comfort, and multiple features of this awesome house. Spending 10 nights and still granting 5 stars and handing out a superb account of the many facets of this house constitute a postcard that future guests will surely trust and appreciate as they make their decision to book. And for such an honest and exhilarating account, my crew and I say THANK YOU. In fact, during our interactions, I realized how delighted and complete you were with the house and our services. All the best to you and your family! Happy New Year! Ray & staff

Owner's Response: Janey, a great review to the point! This house is one of my 2 best properties on lake Lanier. Although some rank it second to Admiral's Club (735516), others passionately dispute this crowning of Club and give the title to Admiral's Mountain Lake Chalet. I am ambivalent, and will simply say, it depends.

Amazing Lake House

  • 5 of 5

We had family coming in for our daughter's wedding... we could not have chosen a more perfect home to accommodate everyone.

First the home is ideally located - on the lake, where you feel like you are a million miles away from the hustle and bustle... but less than 10 minutes from the outlet mall, shops, and restaurants.

The house is beautifully decorated... with gorgeous decks looking out to the water on each level.

The layout of the home is great... lots of bedrooms and entertaining rooms.

Great Place, perfect set up for multiple families

  • 5 of 5

Lake Lanier is beautiful!!!!!! The house was PERFECT for all adults, kids and the property was great for our dogs...................The home is getting ready for some renovation which will make it nicer then it already was............Ray worked with us on staying an extra night (due to IRMA) then once we decided to leave with a very late check out, Ray even worked with us on that. Can't ask for more than that!!!! We ALL would visit Lake Lanier again and stay at one of Rays property"s!!!

Owner's Response: Thanks so much for taking the time to provide feedback. The minor issues were duly noted and addressed. In particular, we had provided a countertop microwave to support business continuity due to the fact that the built-in microwave was severely damaged by a guest shortly before your stay. The built-in microwave was replaced thereafter. We also replaced the battery of the smoke detector and a light bulb, which "chose" to go bad during your stay. These are things whose imminent failure we can't predict. However, we have enacted a policy to replace all smoke/carbon monoxide batteries once a year so that such an issue doesn't occur again. As for the steps, a friend of mine reminded me: "Have you ever encountered any form of vacation that is both effortless and exhilarating at the same time?" Recently, a guest who ended up booking for the Summer enquired about the many steps because of her husband's hip issues. I replied that the steps should be taken in strides, a few at a time, a pause here and there, every few steps of the way, to enjoy the surrounding beauty of the lake and awesome architectural features of the home. The home is so close to the lake that the steps aren't a deterrent to enjoyment. In fact, they are a healthy addition to your overall experience. Great things should be enjoyed in moderation :-)

A Week on the Lake!

  • 5 of 5

The owner, Ray, was a friendly and attentive host! We spent about one week in the home with a party of nine people. Our three kids and two of their significant others enjoyed the combination pool table/ping pong table when we weren't on the lake. The home is large and well-equipped. The extra-large dining room able was much appreciated. The two-tiered boat dock gives you the opportunity to sun bathe up top. We also rented, for an additional charge, the beautiful party boat that Ray keeps at the dock. If you're going to stay on the lake, then renting a boat is a must! We will certainly be back!
