About Ft Myers Beach, VTrips
Hi! My name is Steve Milo and I started Vacation Rental Pros in 2006. Our family stays in vacation rental homes whenever we travel, both domestically and abroad! I own several vacation homes and listen carefully to all our guests' feedback. Our greatest compliment is when folks refer Vacation Rental Pros to their friends and relatives. We now manage over 1,800 properties in Florida, Tennessee and South Carolina. We have homes in Ft. Myers Beach, Orlando, St. Augustine Beach, Daytona Beach, Palm Coast, Ponte Vedra Beach, Hilton Head and Gatlinburg. We booked over 15,000 rentals and received over 5,000 guest reviews in 2016. Please call if you need help booking your dream vacation!
Pictures on VRBO were just as the property was.
Fantastic weekend getaway!
Except for no water upon our arrival (remodeling next door, but Justina had maintenance there within 15 minutes...after 10:30 p.m.!), this was the perfect little getaway. A short walk directly to the beach and walking distance to the main center of the island made our weekend trip to Ft Myers Beach perfect. Will definitely save this to my favorites and look to stay there again...unless I find my own vacation rental first. ;-)
Perfect for 2 people!
This was a mother/daughter trip and met our needs perfectly. I would definitely bring my husband back and stay here. It sleeps 4, but that would make it extremely tight unless it were a couple and 2 small children that would sleep on the pullout sofa. We loved the location just off the main strip on the island, down a nice quiet street . A 5 min walk to the beach and everything we needed for a long weekend. We did not cook ourselves but the kitchen is well appointed if you so desired. Studio was clean and as presented in the pictures. Management company was awesome to work with and allowed us an early check in as we arrived a couple hours before checkin and had Ubered from the airport. This saved us from having to tote our luggage around for a couple hours. Attached unit is under construction and hammering started around 8:00 am one morning, but we were already up and moving around for the day. This might pose a problem for some, so I thought I should mention it. All in all, this was a wonderful first visit to Ft. Myers Beach and I'm already thinking about when I can come back.
Spare, but perfectly functional accommodations. Horrendously bad property management.
The location is great with easy access to the beach, an Irish Pub, and breakfast/lunch places. The main restaurant area is about a mile to the north. One doesn't want to do much driving on Fort Myers Beach during the season because traffic is almost always backed up. The unit is apparently a converted garage, a compact hotel room like studio with a small kitchenette and minimal plates and utensils. We knew that going in and have no real complaints. The small queen (double?) bed has a pretty stiff foam mattress that we treated by putting the comforter under the sheets.
Now on to the horrendously bad property management. Despite having received daily emails telling us to use the electronic lock code we had received to enter, we never received a code. The day before arriving I called and, after some time, was given two codes to use. When we arrived at 5:25 — an hour and 25 minutes after the earliest time we could enter and 5 minutes before the office closed for the day — we discovered that neither code worked. Luckily, we managed to get somebody at the local office who worked some kind of magic on the lock and got us in with a new code.
After getting settled we discovered that none of the three wifi networks we were told to look for existed AND that none of the passwords we were given worked on any that did. We called the local office again, but they had gone home. We called the main office, but they couldn't do anything for us and told us they'd leave a message for the local office to get back to us in the morning. The next morning about 10 AM we called the local office to see what was up and got the impression they knew nothing about the problem. They promised to send somebody out. The person who eventually arrived was useless and, as we only learned later, did not even realize that the box he spent some time examining was NOT even the wifi modem. Several more calls yielded no help whatsoever and we decided to simply seek some form of compensation since we would not have booked the unit had we been told that it had no wifi.
The last day of our stay we woke up to banging from the main unit, no water, and then only cold water. The water heater was being replaced. We had received no advanced notice.
All in all it's hard for us to imagine a less competent and — perhaps worse, less caring — management organization. Despite the unresolved problems we never heard from them again after the second day in the unit.

The studio was very clean, and updated. Close to beach. Good location.
We were very pleased with the cleanliness of the studio. It has recently been updated. All kitchen appliances, dishes, etc on hand. Plenty of bath towels. It would be nice to have been supplied with an extra roll of toilet paper or two; we purchased our own. The backyard is nice and neat. The location is great as far as proximity to beach, restaurants, nightlife, grocery store. It's a busy area; traffic is clogged, which is no reflection on the studio or owner. A few minutes drive is Lover's Key State Park - one of our favorite destinations for beach, hiking and kayaking. We spotted dolphins, a manatee, alligator & many FL birds on our kayak trip. By chance, we were able to meet the owner upon arrival, as he was doing maintenance on property. Good to know the owner takes pride in the rental. Bottom line, if we were to return to Ft. Meyers, we would stay at this unit again. It was a great place to call home for a week.
Cute little cottage. Well kept. Well decorated.
Upon initial review of the cottage I thought it was a really cute, well kept, well furnished little place. Convenient to the beach. How ever, the first night I scratched all nite and thought it was the flattened pillows. I got up the next day and went to the beach. When I got back and took a shower I started to see all these little black bugs. I left the next morning, a day early due to the bugs.
