Very nice apartment for 2 near Distillery District
We stayed with Pinoo for a couple days in mid June and very much enjoyed the apartment on our first visit to Toronto. The apartment was sparkling clean and well equipped, and overall very comfortable. It's on the second and third floors so there are stairs, but being able-bodied young-ish people we didn't have any issues with it. The location is convenient- a quiet residential street in Regent Park that's within a couple blocks walking distance to both the Distillery District, plenty of restaurants, and a tram stop. The hosts were friendly and easily reached by phone the whole time we were there.
Charming neighborhood gem
Absolutely LOVED our stay here! It was a charming neighborhood with a colorful cheery decor palette! It was a lovely space to relax in. The property was clean & Pinoo had several nice thoughtful conveniences such as cereal, milk, spices, etc. Pinoo was readily accessible at all times. There was an adorable thriving coffee shops 2 doors down and another restaurant down the block that had great offerings! The train ran just one block away 24/7 to get you downtown. I would highly recommend this property if you are in the Toronto area, but interested in a break from high-rise hotel experience! No regrets here!!
We loved it!!
We loved this apartment. It was close to everything we needed. Pinoo was a pleasure to work with. She was so thoughtful too. It looked exactly like the pictures. If we ever come back to Canada, we would surely stay here again. Highly recommend it.
You were wonderful guests. Welcome back anytime!
a wonderful return visit
I am so glad to have been able to stay at Pinoo's place a second time. It's just as nice in the winter as it is in summer, with a gas stove and warm pillows and throws on the couch. And the neighborhood's becoming my favorite in Toronto. It's still the nicest apartment I've rented while traveling.
Welcome back anytime, Chris.
Stylish but Homey, Quiet but Convenient, Cozy but Spacious
My wife and I spent a week here when we wanted to visit Toronto for the marathon. The apartment is in a great location, where it's in the city but still in a neighborhood, not just "downtown". There are shops, restaurants, and other essentials within easy walking distance, and when you want to go downtown, it's a short streetcar ride or moderate walk away. You also get good access to Riverdale farm and Greektown.
The apartment itself is comfortable, clean, light, nicely appointed, and well maintained. The architecture is attractive and keeps the touches of being in an older house, but everything is modern and works like new construction. The only caveat is that it's up a flight of stairs (and the bedroom is up an additional flight) which are a bit narrow and steep. This was only really a problem when carrying up our luggage but if you have limited mobility, it could be an issue.
Overall, this was a great place to stay and if we come back to Toronto we'll visit it again!
The apt. was much larger and had higher quality finishes than I was expecting. We also found it well located and enjoyed the neighborhood pub at the end of the block. The host was helpful and everything needed was there for anyone who wished to cook. Someone who has a problem with stairs may find things a little tricky but this should not bother the average person. All in all a great experience.
