Situated in Ealing, the cottage is perfectly located for easy access to all of London's attractions as South Ealing and Northfields underground station are on the doorstep, making it just seven stops to Heathrow Airport in one direction and six stops to South Kensington in the other direction.

There is a bus stop close by taking you direct to Ealing Broadway Shopping Centre, Ealing Common. It is a very quiet residential street. There are very nice pubs, restaurants and local shops a few minutes walk from the property. It is a short walk from the River Thames and on the other side of Kew Bridge you have Kew Gardens.

The property, which is newly decorated throughout, consists of a Lounge and dining room with extra beds if required, sofas, large table with chairs and a wide-screen TV with multi-channels.

It has a kitchen which is very well equipped, offering all the modern appliances you would require on your holiday.

Transport (Travelling to the City)

The cottage is just 10 min walk from South Ealing or Northfields underground station, in Ealing which is on the Piccadilly Line.

South Ealing / Northfields underground station it is just seven stops with no changes to Heathrow Airport in one direction and six stops to South Kensington (City Centre) in the other direction.

The cottage is also on the E2 and E3 bus routes which runs frequently.

It is 35 min from Kings Cross Train Station and 25 min from Piccadilly Circus.

Car travel:

The cottage is 2 km from Junction 2 of the M4 and 4km from the A40. The M40, M25, M1 and M3 motorways are easily accessible from Ealing.

Great Characterful Clean house

We stayed in this house for a week in June. It was very clean, nicely decorated and had a homely feel. We are af family of 5 (2 adults, 2 teenage children and a 7 year old). The house was perfect for us. It was perfect for sleeping, cooking, eating and relaxing around. It had a really nice mature back garden where the kids could play. It also had cable TV and Wifi to keep the kids happy as well.

I was a little surprised by how well located it was. We had the choice of the tube station to get into the centre but there was also the overground station (Brentford) that took us into Waterloo in 25 minutes. Waterloo is where the London eye, Southbank, Tate Modern, etc. are. That was a good tip from the owner.

Owner was very responsive and helpful if there were any problems.

Accomodation in London is expensive and really think this house was really good value. I would definitely recommend and would definitely come back again.

Price of apartment too high respect the quality, cleaning and distance from Central London

We contacted the agency before our arrival in London asking for the apartment to be cleaned well as we are a family with three children. When we arrived we checked out the bad conditions, the lack of kitchenware, moquette on the stairs old and dirty. We talked to Fab Rental referent immediately asking to clean well all the rooms; but the cleaning man could not do miracles, the cobwebs remained, the microwave was not usable because it was very dirty, the dishes were sticky, wash-machine was in a small locker full of tools and an old carpet and its use was almost impossible, in the garden it was better not to go. During our stay we checked that in some days the agency staff entered in the apartment, during our daily absence, without informing us and this is unacceptable. Despite Mr. Eddy's willingness to respond to our requests on the cell phone, the agency must consider that this apartment can not be rented at the price we paid; The cost of the apartment compared to the quality is excessive, even considering that it is in zone 3 and to get to central London it takes almost an hour of time.

Owner's Response: We have a lovely 2 bedroom house in a lovely residential road in Ealing. We have had guests coming from all over the world for years and it has been en enriching experience to have them stay. Beforehand, the guests asked if they could leave their luggage early because their flight arrives early. We obliged. They arrived about midday while the cleaner was cleaning. Rather than leave their luggage and leave as agreed, they proceeded to go through the cupboards, rooms, disturb the cleaner and be rude to the cleaners. They started to make various accusations. E.g. that there were no pots, pans, etc. As they had just arrived only a few minutes after the last guest left, everything was not in the right positions and this we explained. They were argumentative and impolite. We asked them to leave which they finally did do so we could clean the house. They then said that the house was too small for them and they wanted to cancel and have another house. We explained that this was a typical 2 bedroom house and was exactly as shown in the advert. (Which it is). We explained that we did have larger houses (e.g. the 3 bedroom house opposite) that they could have booked previously but now everything was booked (We were in July). They came back at 3pm to check in and were again EXREMELY RUDE. The following day they made more accusations that the door lock was broken. Instead, they had not followed our instructions and had been playing with the lock. We managed to instruct them on how to fix it and asked them not to do it again. The comments about the place being dirty, the garden etc. are TOTAL NONSENSE. The place is professional cleaned and lovely. The photos on the site reflect the house. It is COMPLETELY FALSE that we entered the house while they were out without their permission. We carefully explained to them to sort the rubbish as part of the recycling process in London. They completely ignored this and mixed all the rubbish together and so we had to wade through their rubbish to sort it out when they checked out. This was in addition to leaving the house in a mess when they checked out. It does not take an hour to get into Central London. It is about 20 minutes by tube from the station as per the description. It is excellent value for London which is quite an expensive city. We also have other larger 3 & 4 bedroom houses around London for guests who want more space. I can honestly say with no hesitation that we would not welcome the guests back.

Comfortable, convenient location

1. This is a conveniently-located cottage, that would easily accommodate four people. It would be suitable for up to 6 people in a pinch. The owner/caretaker, Eddie, is very responsive to any questions and is happy to come over to help out with thermostat setting or hot water adjustment.

2. The place is clean and pleasant, with good Wi-Fi and cable/satellite channels. All the kitchen appliances work well and the kitchen has pots and pens, silverware and glasses, cups, and plates.


There are minor things that don't work properly or are not attended to. For example:

1. The front door sticks and is difficult to open or close without slamming it shut or pushing hard to open it.

2. The bathroom lacks a proper toilet-paper holder.

3. The chest of drawer in the smaller bedroom cannot be used, because the bottom part of every drawer sags and prevents the opening of the drawers.

4. Both closet doors in the larger bedroom are off their rails and therefore the doors cannot be opened or closed and just leaning against the closets.

All of these are relatively-minor annoyances, and could be corrected with relatively little effort and expense. It is puzzling, to say the least, on why they are left in this state.

All in all this is a pleasant place for your stay in London and is within 15 min walking distance to Northfields station, on the Piccadilly Line, which connect to central London.

Owner's Response: Yes, it is a lovely cottage with quick connections to Central London. 1. When the guests came it was very cold. When the weather changes quickly like that, the door can sometimes be a little more stiff than normal. 2. The toilet paper holder had broken off. There is now a new toilet paper holder. 3. This was damaged by the previous guests beforehand. It is now been replaced with a new one. 4. This was only discovered by these guests when they came in.They notified us when they checked in and must have been damaged by the previous guest. This has now been sorted.

Wonderful home away from home!

The house has easy access to public transportation, shops, restaurants and pubs. A short bus ride to Ealing Broadway shopping, or the Royal Botanical Gardens in the other direction. 20-30 minutes to Central London depending on time of day. We didn't have a car, but parking looks limited. You don't need a car in London! The home itself is cozy and clean, with a beautiful back garden. Neighborhood is mostly quiet and neighbors were friendly. Two spacious, comfortable bedrooms (we had plenty of room with 6 people). Bathroom is large and modern with spa tub and shower. Kitchen is quite small by American standards, but updated and completely functional (as I said, even with 6 people). My kids wanted to move there! Having laundry in the house was amazing. Enabled us to stay two weeks out of carry-on luggage only. Check-in was easy and the owner came by within an hour of our arrival to say hello. Very friendly and easily accessible owner. Would stay there again for sure!

Good Cottage but noisy

It is a good cottage, internet works great. However, there is construction next door and it can get very noisy early morning. Also I was told there was parking available but it was not. The owner instructed to pay for the parking for an hour in the morning and an hour in the afternoon and I did but still I got very expensive parking tickets ( though I did appeal but the local govt. wants money).

Owner's Response: The guest never informed us that they had a car. At the house there is restricted parking between 10am - 11am and 3pm -4pm. When they did inform us a few days into the booking, we advised the guest that they could pay on the meter for those 2 hours or they could buy an all day permit from us for about £3. They didn't want to buy an all day permit wanted to pay just for the 2 hours. They did not do it properly and so they got a ticket. Obviously, we cannot be responsible for their ticket. There is no construction site next to the house. At the time, the next door neighbour, was doing up the kitchen. Obviously, this is quite normal and is finished now. We try and help all out guests. This guest lost the front door keys. Although busy doing other things, we went out our way to get keys cut for the guest so they could get back into the house.

Great Cottage House

The house is in great condition and very clean. The owner met us there to show us around, which was nice. The internet worked great and the TV offered many channels. There is a pub 30 yards in one direction and a pretty complete mini store 60 yards in the other direction. It takes some time to get to tourist attractions. Its a solid 15 minute walk to the tube (your card allows you to take the bus) and then 15 minutes to most London areas. The advantage is you live where normal residents live, which is better than a tourist hotel. We had 5 of us for part of the time and this house worked for 5, which isn't easy in London.

Boston Manor Park ( 10 minutes walk from apartment)

Boston Manor Park is a large historic park surrounding Boston Manor House which was built in 1623 and remained in private ownership until 1924.Most of the land that is now the park was farmland until the end of last century.

Today the park has ornamental lawns and has a small pond, 3 tennis courts, a basketball court, a large children's play area. Equipment in the play area includes three swings, an agility test, a multi-play area for the over 5s, two rockers, a climbing frame and a multi-play area for the under 5s. Seating for adults is also provided.

The park is also home to Boston Manor House, one of West London’s lesser-known gems, a fine Jacobean manor house built in 1623
