Overview

Photos and Description of this 3 bedroom holiday cottage in Bewerley - Briardene

4-star three bedroom cottage in quiet village with garden close to all amenities

Our charming VisitEngland 4-star rated cottage is in Pateley Bridge, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and provides a great base for the spa (you have got to try it) town of Harrogate. It is situated in a small quiet Dales village, with its own village green and 16th century chapel. You can walk from the door out onto the hills with its magnificent moorland, limestone and gritstone scenery or to local bakers and prize winning butchers providing local produce, and pubs/restaurants to suit all pockets. Visit the oldest sweet shop in England.

The living room with leather furniture has a wood burning stove, ideal for cosy winter evenings. The cottage has Wi-Fi. The cottage garden (revamped Winter 2014) has a fantastic view beyond the Nidderdale show ground and has outdoor furniture for dining during those sunny evenings. The modern fully equipped kitchen with range cooker and granite worktop will allow you to exercise the Jamie Oliver within.

There are two double bedrooms, (one with ensuite shower room) and one bedroom with two single beds and also a family bathroom with bath/shower.

Our cottage combines romance, the great outdoors, fantastic sight seeing and the opportunity to unwind in friendly surroundings.

Sorry STRICTLY NO PETS AND NO SMOKING.

Perfect location in a beautiful area

  • 5 of 5

6 of us stayed for 4 nights to celebrate our daughters 30th birthday.

We were very impressed with the cottage, it had everything we needed and was in a perfect spot. 10 minute walk into Pateley Bridge where we found some very good pubs, shops and restaurants. Everyone was very friendly and we all enjoyed ourselves.

The neighbours at the cottage were very friendly and gave us lots of tips for visiting the area, they even took in our Tesco shop as it was delivered early and we were all at the pub! Thank you!

We had some lovely days out in the local area. Walking, boating, climbing, waterfalls, we did it all!

We would definitely recommend the cottage and would love to return in the future.

Good Base for Walking or Driving

  • 4 of 5

Comfortable. clean cottage providing everything we needed to re-visit the splendours of Nidderdale and beyond. What we barely needed was the facility's best feature; a modern kitchen nicely fitted and well equipped. Especially useful was the Wi-Fi service which, unlike many we've experienced, operated perfectly over our 5-day stay. Disappointing was that the only USB charging plug we could find, attached to some device, did not seem to work.

The bed in the front bedroom was very comfortable, and the ensuite bathroom was fully functional with the best shower, albeit small, we found at any of our five accommodations while in Britain. We didn't use either of the two smaller, adjacent bedrooms. The second bathroom is situated on the ground floor. Leather sofas in the lounge were restful enough, but the room was less than cozy. The television introduced us to a new brand.

The cottage in Bewerly is very close to, but not actually in, Pateley Bridge as we had surmised. A pavement/sidewalk makes the connection. We were delighted by the number of pubs and restaurants in the local area, as well by the quality of food and ale they served so amiably.

Great place for a relaxed family holiday.

  • 5 of 5

We loved being in a small town near brimham rocks and fountains abbey. Easy day out excursions and very clean and comfortable home for a large family like ours. We njoyed the games and DVDs for fun and easy going evenings. We were also grateful for the owners who provided us some products we forgot to bring.

well placed comfortable cottage in excellent town of Pately Bridge

  • 4 of 5

Well equipped clean and comfortable in a peaceful location but we'll placed for extensive local amenities.

Owner helpful as was the neighbour as well.

Certain points might put some people (not us) off.

These may be

On street parking as no dedicated space

Dining area would be cramped if full quota of 5 or 6 present

Main bathroom downstairs

No local space for young children to play.

No dishwasher

Only one set of keys found

Otherwise every aspect was fine and we coped with the above issues perfectly well.

Loved the Nidderdale show.

Located directly on Nidderdale way so walking excellent.

All pubs cafes and restaurants tried were excellent.

Perfectly located to explore the Dales

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay at this cottage in Pateley Bridge. The cottage was a home from home for the 5 of us and in an excellent location. Pateley Bridge has a great high street packed with independents and not a Costa in site (thank goodness!).
