Our home which is directly owner managed is in a perfect setting for many activities and a great central base for touring Killarney & the majestic Kerry region. There are plenty opportunities to enjoy outdoor activities such as walking, hiking, climbing, boating, tennis, canoeing & most important perhaps, sightseeing from our home near the world famous Lakes. The vibrant town of Killarney is only 5 minutes & other beautiful areas including Kenmare, Ring of Kerry & Dingle are all within easy reach. Personal hands on owner service means you will most certainly enjoy a superior level of service as no longer employ any management co to run our home. This means we are available to our guests at all times every day not just during company work hours. We have recently installed an upgraded new Free WIFI service for our guests exclusive use. This service is for the exclusive use of our home only, no longer sharing the communal WIFI service with other village homes now provides a much faster, more reliable always on service for your browsing pleasure. We also provide a phone service for your convenience to stay in touch with family and friends. As we use our own holiday home ourselves we have upgraded and equipped it to a superior standard from other homes for comfort and relaxation with many extras added such as the upgraded exclusive wifi, satellite, upgraded furniture, equipment, upgraded bathrooms etc...etc...

Killarney is famous for its beautiful Lakes and Mountains, but nowhere in Ireland will you find such an ecologial National Park as in Killarney.The National Park comprises approx 25,000 acres of beautiful lake and mountain scenery. At the foot of Ireland's highest mountain range lies the three world famous Lakes of Killarney in Killarney National Park. Due the central location of our holiday home, you can visit this national treasure by walking across the road through the wooded path into the park or hop in the car and via main entrance be there in less than two minutes.Our home is very close to the many attractions on offer all within five minutes. For example, Muckross House, Traditional Farms, Ross Castle, Ladies View, Torc Waterfall and Muckross Abbey are all about three minutes drive or cycle in five minutes with bicycle hire available next door to the homes. Visit the Meeting of the Waters at Old Weir Bridge, Dinis Cottage both in the National park or see the famous Gap of Dunloe which is about ten minutes away.Take a drive to beautiful Kenmare which is about 25 minutes. Tour the Ring of Kerry,swim in Inch Beach, see the Blasket Islands, Skellig and Dingle a bit further afield and explore the spectacular beauty of the Kerry region.
Take the children swimming, tennis or pitch and putt next door at the Aquila Club only 500 yds away where our guests can use these facilities at heavily discount rates.Go Horse riding in the National Park with organised treks by the Killarney Riding Centre.You can enjoy a great day out at the Killarney Races with hosts a mix of Flat, Hurdle and Steeplechase horse racing.
With such a magnifient setting, The Irish Open has received fabulous feedback on its success in The Killarney Golf & Fishing Club. Situated adjoining the beautiful Lakes of Killarney, only two miles approx from our home,you won't find a more beautiful setting. With exceptional golf facilities, both young and old are catered for. There are three golf courses in Killarney and numerous courses, approx 20, in the surrounding area if you wish to venture further afield. Truly a golfer's paradise!
Food and entertainment of the area: There is great entertainment on offer only yards away at the INEC which hosts many of Ireland's most famous artists, entertainers and dancers including Riverdance. There are also many pubs nearby where traditional Irish music can be enjoyed. Great food is available both on-site in the Bar & Restaurant next door and in the local restaurants which surround the homes or in Killarney town which is only about a mile away. Guests can avail of discounts for breakfast and dinner at the Brehon and Lake hotels adjacent to our homes if you wish to enquire when booking. From pub grub to fine dining, Chinese or Italian- Killarney has a huge variety of really good restaurants to choose from . Night Clubs, Pubs and Cinema are all on offer in the town of Killarney.Shop till you drop in any of Killarney's many unique shops or venture further afield for bigger department stores in Tralee which is about 25min drive , famous for its hosting of the Beauty pagent 'The Rose of Tralee'.
Killarney is famous for its jaunting cars where you can view the National Park, Muckross House or Ross Castle in this novel means of transport. Killarney hosts many festivals during the year and is especially vibrant during the summer months and Christmas times where on street entertainment and markets take place. For the active guests, The Star Outdoors Centre in Kenmare has much to offer with kayaking, canoeing, water sports of many descriptions and younger members will really enjoy a trip here. The beautiful Inch Beach is also only 30 minutes drive and is spectacular.
For fishing enthusiasts, Killarney and the surrounding district has some of the best salmon and trout waters in Ireland. Trout fishing is free on Killarney's Lakes.

We choose this holiday home primarily because of its location and generous size,within the Kerry region. There are lots of beautiful areas in Ireland but Killarney and Kerry have beauty in abundance and the town of Killarney is very pretty indeed..We have been visiting Killarney for over 20 years and really like this majestic region which has spectaular scenery and world renowned beauty. It was easy to decide on this home due to its great location directly across from the lovely Lakes of Killarney and the magnificent Killarney National Park & Muckross House which are all within walking distance.
We fell in love with this home because it was spacious enough for all our family, was in a fabulous location and was also fortunate enough to have a bar and restaurant practically on site just next door. The leisure facilities up the road 500 yds away also attracted us because it meant the children and adults alike had access to a pool and we really liked the fact we could walk out the door across to the National Park for cycling and walking. Being less than five minutes to a lovely vibrant town means we enjoy Mountain & lakeside location with plenty entertainment and restaurants within five minutes.Also we felt when it rains in Ireland as it does tend to do, you have to be near activities to keep both children and adults entertained which we can do from our base in Killarney so easily. We find families enjoy our home because we have equipped it with all the conveniences you would need at home such as Upgraded hi-speed Wifi and Satellite television and a phone service not always available elsewhere. As we use our holiday home ourselves and are not absentee homeowners ,nor we do not employ anyone to manage our home for us, we do take extra care & interest in our holiday rental. We like comfort when travelling so we have tried to ensure everything you will need is readily available for your self catering holiday in our home by the Beautiful Lakes of Killarney.
We stayed in Killarney for one week, and besides the stunning sights and landscapes, this house was also a main reason that we enjoyed it so much. The house is in a splendid condition, immaculately clean and nicely furnished and decorated. Everything you need - it's there. Washing machine, dryer, coffe machine, super-fast WIFI, Sky cable TV... A lot of brochures and recommendations from Valerie concering restaurants, things to do etc. were also available in the house and were extremly helpful.
The owner Valerie was really nice, starting from the booking process to the check-in, everything was easy and well organised.
You can tell she really cares about her guests as not only could you find kitchen essentials like salt, pepper, herbs, tea, coffee, washing liquid etc. provided, when we arrived we found a big welcome basket with cookies, chocolate, milk, bread, butter and other things - even fresh flowers. We rented several houses during the last years, but this kind of welcome was nowhere to be found before.
So to sum it up, I can absolutely recommend this house when you are in the Killarney area, we will definitely come back some time.

The owner of the house was very welcoming. The product mix received at our arrival (fresh bread, cereal, cookies, cleaning wipes for our little daughter, etc.) gave us great pleasure.

Have you ever wanted to pack all your home comforts and take them on holiday with you ? Well there is no need when you book Blarney House. Where do I start the quality of fixtures and fittings is superb from the living area, Kitchen and the bedrooms. The kitchen has everything you need to selfcater easily we loved the coffee machine especially. The house is spotless and Valerie goes out of her way to assist with any requests you might have. We have travalled all over the world and can honestly say we didnt want to leave after the week we spent here. The location is spot on 5 mins into the town and local supermarkets and the view over to the mountains makes this rental a holiday to remember. I wouldnt hesitate to recomend Blarney House to anyone wanting a quality self catering vaction. Thanks Valerie for everything Claire and family
I would definitely recommend this holiday home. 5 star quality. There was a large welcome basket full of goodies, plenty of big fluffy towels, complimentary bathroom toiletries and most important to young teenagers free wifi! Blarney house is located in an ideal spot, convenient to Muckross Park, Torc Waterfall and many more sights. Also located right next door is The Oakes hotel which served delicious food. There are many hotels located within walking distance with great day and evening entertainment.
Thanks to Valerie for looking after us so well and we will definitely return if we are visiting Killarney again.
Our stay at the Blarney House was fabulous. It was big and spacious for the 7 of us and impeccably clean. We were greeted with a large gift basket filled with wine,cheese,crackers,fresh baked cookies and brown bread etc... We had clean towels in each room and bathrooms. We had everything you could ask for hair blow dryers, washer and dryer, also a converter. At the end of the evening we would come back sit around the fireplace and talk about our day. This home is a great location, walking distance to all the fun pubs and restaurants in Killarney . Thank for everything Valerie ....We will be back!!!
Our family stayed in the Blarney House for the week surrounding my son's wedding and thoroughly enjoyed it. We had the best time! The accommodations were super. Big kitchen, roomy living room with comfy chairs and couches for relaxing together. The upstairs had plenty of room for all of us with the three bedrooms and a full bath. Valerie made sure we had a highchair and a crib for the baby and left directions and helpful information for everything we would need.
We were close to a great restaurant and a quickie mart for picking up extras that we needed. Best of all because of the location, we were in a place where other families attending the wedding stayed and we were able to share our spaces and have a great week in addition to being in Ireland for a wedding! What a week!
