A good base for your stay on Fuerteventura
The villa was a good base for our stay (close to Corellejo - but a bit remote) and we had access to a relaxed, private pool area.
There are a number of villas that make up Villa Ventura Caprice, which is part of a residential area.
Do not expect taxi drivers to know where each villa is, as the numbering is not straightforward!
There is a supermarket (SuperDino) down the road, just along from a nice little Cafe opposite the bus stop (there is one stop with buses going both North and South). There were a number of empty shops and a run-down old Cinema, Pub and restaurants.
We were made welcome on our arrival, late New Years Day.
Reasons for giving it 3 stars:
1. There we none of the basics that we had come to expect from OwnersDirect - like Salt and Pepper, Sugar, Washing up liquid etc - so just be prepared.
2. To be honest, the bed was rock-hard - but this may not be the case in other villas.
3. There was only one sink-plug that had to be taken from bathroom to kitchen for washing up.
4. The TV was in German - because no one had thought to reset it.
5. Whilst the furnishings were adequate, they were not as advertised in the pictures, so we felt a level of deception.
6. Note that the photographs show different sizes and styles of villa - so check what you are getting!
A good base, but understand what you're getting

The photos are not of the property rented
I write this so you know what to expect as it isn't much like the images in this advertisement. The villa is on a housing estate so you are living amongst the locals (all who were friendly enough) The point is is you will hear everyday noises - dogs, kids playing, your adjoining neighbour's night time toilet trips, the bloke opposite spray painting his van right outside the window etc. You cant park your hire car outside property either - be satisfied with somewhere down the road. The accommodation was largely gloomy and smelt damp. It contained a broken mirror, broken wall light fitting, broken garden furniture, rendering missing from internal garden wall, broken wardrobe facia and broken external light sensors (I have the photos). It lacked satellite tv. It lacked a toaster and came with 1 wine glass (both rectified quickly by the friendly Anne-Marie). It lacked quality. Surfaces were largely clean but it wasn't thorough. The mattress didn't have a cover and bedding was ill fitting. The furniture was vastly inferior to those shown on photos. It sounds like a moan but I got on with it but what did disappoint me was it is the first time I have arrived at a Owners Direct place and there wasn't as much as salt and pepper, or a complimentary bottle of water and/or milk in the fridge. (There was soap though) The property is on the edge of Tamarargua. Facilities are a good supermarket and a bar serving decent food cheaply (not Canarian but pizzas, chicken and chips etc). The bar is used largely by ex pats and is no thrills but is friendly enough and shows sport on tv. Both are several hundred yards away and on the edge of an abandoned and derelict shopping centre. It has good bus links to Corralejo and El Cotillo and is served by taxis.
We booked the villa for a 2 week stay from 1st Sept to the 15 th Sept 16. Very quiet location if that's the sort of holiday you are looking for. We did not hire a car ( i would recommend car hire to get to places further than Corralejo) but the bus stop to Corralejo is just a 10 min (if that) walk up a straight road to where there is a supermarket ..a pizza place and bar / restaurant ..the bus stop is right there on the corner on the main road. The bus is only 1.40 euro per person to town and was hourly.
Loved the villa .. very clean and had everything we needed for a lovely stay. The night before key hand over we were asked if we would like a taxi ordered for the following morning to the airport which was great and it arrived very promptly at the villa at 08.00.
It was a great stay and no problems at all. Delighted with our first trip to Fuerteventura !!
Relaxing & comfortable stay.
A very pleasant week's stay in a quiet residential villa. More than adequate for 2 persons with all necessary amenities. Clean, comfortable accommodation, very reasonably priced. Excellent weather during our stay. Warm welcome from Ana on arrival & help with local information when needed.
Great holiday home!
I rent the villa for my parents to stay on Fuerteventura. They are delighted with the house. Spacious bedroom, sun terrace, very well equipped kitchen, nice sitting room, place to sit outside. Quiet development with swimming pool, shop, pizzeria and bar within walking distance. Just a few minutes by car to Corralejo and its beaches or to El Cotillo.
Special thanks to Ana, who maintains the property. She met us upon arrival, showed everything in the house. When asked to help she solved the problem literally immediately.
Thanks a lot, David and Ana. May parents have absolutely lovely holiday!
The complex is located in one of the best residential areas of Fuerteventura (Tamaragua). It is just 5 minutes from the beach Grandes Playas and from centre of the city Corralejo. It has pool, deckchairs, sunshades, and chairs. There is a supermarket a few meters away; it is opened the 7 days of the week. Also, there is an Irish pub and a Canarian restaurant in which you can afford food courses since 6€.
