At Casa Farabinha, you have the best of both worlds...

Let for the first time in 2018. At Casa Farabinha, you have the best of both worlds...a modern spacious property with a private pool but within a stone's throw of the lovely little village of Vila Nova de Cacela and the beach of Manta Rota. Casa Farabinha is in a residential tree-lined road just 250 metres from the centre.

The house is fully air-conditioned and has been recently refurbished to a high standard. It is beautifully decorated and the interior of the villa is contemporary and comfortable. The open plan lounge/dining area has fully opening patio doors opening out onto a fully enclosed garden. There is a pellet burning fire in the living room which is very effective, should it be required for cooler evenings. The kitchen is large and fully equipped with modern appliances. Downstairs has a cloakroom with an additional toilet. We also have a useful store for coats and cases.

For your entertainment there is a 50 inch television as well as a BlueRay DVD player. We have also fitted some electrical sockets with additional USB holes for your convenience.

The garden features a heatable pool for your private use which is cleaned weekly. The pool can be heated for a small additional charge on request. There is also a retractable shade, outside shower and a built in BBQ.

Upstairs the property has 3 bedrooms - all beds are zip and link so can be three king size doubles or 6 twins or any combination that suits your party. There are 2 bathrooms, one of which is en suite. There is also a cot and high chair available if needed.

The location is perfect - you are within easy walking distance of the centre of the town of Vila Nova de Cacela with supermarkets, some excellent restaurants, bars, cafés and shops as well as a bank, ATM machines, a pharmacy, taxi rank and a local fish & vegetable market. If golf is your thing, there are seven 18-hole golf courses within 15 minutes car drive. Every third Sunday of the month a Street market fills the town. It is a great morning's adventure and frequented by locals and visitors alike.

One of the real benefits of Casa Farabinha is the close proximity of the regional railway station. It is inexpensive and reliable. It runs the full length of the Algarve so you can head towards Spain to Vila Real do Santo Antonio or West towards Vilamoura, Portimao or Lagos. It is a very popular means of transport and is only 10 minutes walk from the house.

You can also walk to the beach at Manta Rota (2.7 km) although it will take about 15 minutes to walk. The beach is amazing and not to be missed. There are plenty of watering holes along the way to stop for a quick beer, a coffee or ice cream on the way there or back. Everything you need is within easy reach of Casa Farabinha so a car is not essential. We can also organise transport from and to Faro airport.

The Algarve has one of the mildest and sunniest climates in Europe. That means it makes a welcome break from most of the European countries at any time of year: winter, spring, summer or autumn. The Eastern Algarve doesn’t really have a winter - it just goes from a hot dry summer to an extended spring. However, temperatures are lowest and rainfall highest between November and February. But in these months, there are many days of blue skies when daytime temperatures in the sun reach mid to high 20′s centigrade and you can quiet easily sunbath. These warm ‘winter’ days are some of the nicest of the year. However, when the skies are clear, the evenings and the early mornings can be chilly, though it is very rare for temperatures to drop to zero overnight.

You are only 15 minutes drive from the picturesque town of Tavira which is an absolute must when staying at Casa Farabinha. You will love its unspoiled charm, character and tranquillity. A Roman bridge links the 2 parts of the town across the River Gilao, with traditional old bars and restaurants either side where you can relax and enjoy a peaceful drink or meal. Horse drawn carriages and a small train operate around the town and are perfect for sightseeing and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere.

In the other direction is Vila Real do Santo Antonio which is the last town before you reach Spain which is great for a day trip to discover the culture of another country, including wine, tapas and excellent shopping. If you want to travel further afield, you can reach the vibrant city of Seville in approximately one and a half hours where the architecture (and shopping) is amazing! There are coach trips organised through the Post Office in Vila Nova de Cacela.

The East Algarve is a direct contrast to the West: The coastal towns of the eastern Algarve are real Portuguese towns, far more under-developed than those in the Central and Western area of the Algarve. If you are after a more relaxed style of holiday, away from the hordes of tourists and water parks, then the Eastern Algarve is the place to come.

Casa Farabinha is a tastefully modernised 3 bedroomed property in Vila Nova de Cacela and within easy walking distance of Manta Rota and its stunning beach and bars and restaurants. We loved the open plan design of the living area opening on to the enclosed and sunny garden with pool. This place is perfect for relaxation and lovely long walks on the beach which stretches for miles each way. The food scene is varied and vibrant and great value for money. This was our first visit to this part of Eastern Algarve and we will be back very soon.

We cannot ignore the contribution to our holiday made by Jo and Paul. Quite simply the best hosts we have encountered during our many visits to the area. The directions to the Villa were perfect, our welcome warm and friendly and absolutely nothing was too much trouble. The guide provided in the Villa to the local area was contemporary and accurate; a complete shocker as they usually seem to have been cut and pasted from other much older publications. Whether you are new to the area or more familiar you couldn’t do better than visit this beautiful property and be looked after by its lovely owners!
