Lovely cottage and garden

  • 4 of 5

This is a beautiful old cottage, circa 1850, sympathetically restored and with a beautiful large garden. There is a lovely wood burning stove and 2 doubles and one single bedroom. It is very well presented and clean and the thoughtful hamper is a nice touch. A minor point was that there were several light bulbs out. Another is that It is very difficult to find the property however and guests must ask for directions especially if arriving at night. It is basically tucked behind two other houses. There are some steep steps and access for cars is a little tight. Be warned that one set of steps in the garden is very slippery when wet. There is wi-fi and two TV's. All crockery, pans towels and bedding are in very good order.

mixed impressions.

  • 4 of 5

Comfortable & roomy but access was difficult, with tight driveway and steep steps. Keypad didn't work well & it took ages to get in, housekeepers no. not obtainable.

Beds were comfortable but it would have been good to have had bed linen ironed as it was very badly creased and not everything was as immaculite as we had been led to expect.
