Perfect Lakefront Getaway
This house was incredibly clean and well decorated with relaxing colors. The kitchen was large for cooking meals and the size of the space was great for six adults. It was perfect for our long weekend getaway. We could swim right off the dock, and access the perks of Madison with just a short drive. Grocery store and restaurants were walking distance, park with a boardwalk also close by. We would happily come back with the kiddos, too!
Excellent house, very clean with nice beds and furnishings. View is fantastic. We boated all the way over to lake Mendota, extremely enjoyable.
Perfect lake house for the 4th of July!
I was looking for a Lake Waubesa home with a pier to accommodate six. This home was the perfect fit for my brothers to dock their boats and go out boating, swimming, bbq’ing, and entertaining. The home is beautifully appointed, open, and modern. The 2nd floor bedroom/bathroom had a spectacular view and was very private for my older parents. We watched fireworks from the pier, water skiers and fishermen while we sat comfortably in the living room and the outside deck. This quiet street is convenient for restaurants, grocery shopping, and touring downtown Madison. Todd and Renea kept in contact with all of the information we needed all along the way. I will look forward to returning in the future!
Great house & location
House was super clean and pleasant. Nice houses were hard to find on VBRO in Madison. Neighborhood was safe and quiet. We like to cook at home. Their kitchen was well equipped. The view of the lake from the living/dining area was postcard perfect. Would have liked a portable heater in the upstairs bedroom and a couple of extra cutting boards. I have to put my crew to work! Thank you for letting us stay at your house.
Thank you for your nice review and we hope you will stay with us again.
Wonderful Lake Waubesa!
Wonderful extended weekend on Lake Waubesa! The house is beautiful and very comfortable (especially the beds!). Communication with Renea and Todd is great -- they were very responsive to my initial inquiries and with entertainment information (restaurants, boat rentals, etc.) for the area. The lake is very peaceful and quiet and the location near Madison provides lots of activity options. Will definitely stay again!
Thank you for your very nice review and thank you for booking with us. We hope you will stay with us again.
Beautiful home, very comfortable and nicely decorated.
Disappointed with the Lake. The lake water is disgusting!!!. This is NOT a lake for swimming near the dock which is just off the back porch and yard. No kayaks or equipment provided with the home for any water sports.
Also strange that there was NOT an adequate table on the patio for eating, rather more of a coffee table - so uncomfortable for meals. For the $$$ this should be remedied.
Note also that the agreement stated a refund would be made 10 days after departure and it took more than two weeks.
We are sympathetic to your frustration with the lake. Madison experienced 100 year rains and floods late this summer and these temporary lake issues were outside of our control.
