We booked this apartment at the last minute while on the train travelling to Rome. It was exactly as advertised. Alessandro texted us with directions and met us at the door. The apartment is tiny but all we needed was a place to sleep and have breakfast. The bakery is 2 doors away and opens at 7.00 am. Alessandro provides a detailed guide to the neighbourhood and the city. Trastevere is a perfect location for a visit to Rome- city transit is easily accessed, walking distance to some sites and in the evening it comes alive with 100s of little restaurants and pizzerias. Little shops with leather goods and other Italian goodies are open until late and are much less expensive than in the more touristy areas. The airport is easily reach by train and tram.
We had a wonderful stay in this apartment. Trastevere is a lively and fun area, and we enjoyed strolling in the evenings with the mix of locals and tourists. There are nice restaurants in the area as well as good espresso and gelato within a few blocks. We walked and took the bus everywhere, and there are multiple bus stops close by (Google Maps and Allessandro helped us figure out which buses to take).
The apartment was spotless, comfortable, and spacious, and Allessandro was helpful. We had a flight delay and he was very flexible in accommodating our revised arrival and departure times. His family owns the building and he lives upstairs, and he's always available via text message or phone. The wireless network was fast and reliable. I highly recommend this apartment.
Allessandro the owner was very helpfull before we arrived, directly responding at mails and gave us all the information we needed. The apartment has a very good atmosphere, everything what we needed was there, clean and a very good bed. The neighboorhood is fantastic , you can reach almost everything by walking , so we have enjoyed it .
Trilussa is a very nice apartment, with good space for 2 people in the bedroom and 2 sleeping in the living room (we travelled with our kids). It's kept clean and has all the essential items (the shower was a bit weak though). Great books too! The location is amazing, with a great store next to it, a great bakery two doors away and brimming life all around it (be aware, there certainly is noise from the streets, but it gets quieter at around 11 and drops off entirely a bit later). Only a one block walk to the Tiber. We felt very fortunate to have so much wonderful Roman life all around us. We walked everywhere! Allesandro was very easy to communicate with, responding quickly to emails and calls, and providing good directions for our arrival. He met us promptly (he was waiting for us) and was a gracious host. Tony's restaurant, only a 1/2 block away was our best meal in Rome. Great proprietor, great pasta, and reasonable prices. Great gelato is only 3 minutes away too (fior di Luna)!
CASA TRILUSSA ... CAN NOT GET A BETTER PLACE IN ROME
VERY CLEAN , VERY COMFORTABLE , GREAT LOCATION
ALESSANDRO IS THE BEST ........
