This Cottage is a cosy traditional village property, ideally placed to explore the beautiful and varied Dorset countryside and coastline. Nestled in picturesque Okeford Fitzpaine, the cottage sits on the edge of the Blackmore Vale, made famous by Thomas Hardy as the ‘Vale of the Dairies’. Inside the two bedroom Cottage, you'll find comfortable living space with English country cottage charm. There's a log burner for the cooler months, and a private garden to enjoy in Summer.
The cottage is tastefully and extensively equipped throughout, making it a cosy ‘home from home’. A fabulous cottage and an ideal base from which to explore the beautiful Dorset countryside & coastline. Children are welcome at the property - but please note that the garden has a small raised pond, and so children must be watched at all times. We're also pet-friendly, and up to 2 dogs can come with you for a flat-rate charge of £25 per booking. Street car parking is avaibable outside the cottage.
The Cottage is nestled within the pretty Dorset village of Okeford Fitzpaine, which is close to the market town of Sturminster Newton. It's about 100 yards from the well stocked village shop and Post Office, and the child- and dog-friendly friendly village pub, which serves food. Less than 10 miles away are the ancient towns of Blandford Forum, Sherborne, Shaftesbury, & Dorchestor, and with the World Heritage Jurassic Coast only 20 miles away, there are many places to visit.
