Local dining: There are many restaurants within walking distance of the apartment, some are located within 2 minutes walk. The town centre has a wide selection of restaurants including tapas bars, pizzerias, steak houses, and the new marina (a 5 minute walk from the apartment) has a number of stylish bars, cafes and restaurants at the far end.
A mini-market is located across the road from the apartment (just out of view) and is well stocked with all standard provisions. Larger supermarkets (Mercadona, Eroski and Mas y Mas are all similar to Sainsburys or Tesco superstores) are located in the town centre.
Local attractions: Water, safari and theme parks can be found in and around Benidorm which is a 30 minute drive down the coast. The new Marriot Golf & Spa Resort, which adjoins the golf course at La Sella, has a choice of 5 restaurants and a Alanya Spa available to non-residents. For a special evening out, the Benidorm Palace has a spectacular show with dinner, wine and dancing as is reputed to have the largest stage in the world. For a more intimate Spanish style dinner/dance flamenco experience, Viva Espana is located 25 mins to the north in Oliva.
Travelling by air and rail: Many airlines, including low-budget airlines like EasyJet and Ryanair fly from Stansted, Luton, and Gatwick to Valencia and Alicante airports. Denia is located in the Costa Blanca, halfway between Valencia and Alicante airports (both approx 90 km / 1 hours drive). A single motorway (A7) links both airports to Denia, and we have comprehensive map/directions to make sure you find us easily. Having a rental car is not strictly necessary but is of course useful. Alternatively a taxi from the airport is about 110 Euros each way. However, if you wish to avoid the cost of a rental car and/or taxi, you can take the train from the airport to Denia (although its not direct, and takes about 2.5 hours). The railway station is walking distance to the apartment, but with luggage you may prefer a short 3 minute taxi. Once you are at the apartment, you really don't need a car - there are plenty of bars/restaurants within 5/10 mins walk, and the town centre is just 12 mins walk away.
