A Place Where Good Fortune, For The Mind, Body And Spirit, Is Found!!!
About Cindy Reynolds
Nearing retirement, we have enjoyed more and more time in the mountains of Blue Ridge. We have a growing family and always look forward to special times we can all "play" together. Riding dirt roads and listening to the music of the rivers is one of our favorite things to do! Taking in as much of God's creation is absolutely tranquil and refreshing!
Cindy Reynolds purchased this Cabin in 2015
Why Cindy Reynolds chose Blue Ridge
We fell in love with Fortune Seekers and are excited to share the good fortunes it brings to us, with you! It's peaceful, and offers so many things to do, from just a short walk to a 30 minute drive. This cabin borders the national forest, is within walking distance to ponds and river access, all within the estate. Fortune Seekers is the first cabin right beyond the Donaldson gate, therefore, just 2 minutes to the nearest small boat launch at Sandy Bottoms Recreation Area. Also just a bout 3-5 minutes to the nearest tubing site. Wildlife is bountiful and the long range mountain views are breathtaking! The air is fresh and the scenery is a topic of conversation while we gather at the dinner table. The unique architect through out the inside of the cabin, especially in the upstairs suite, is what made us fall in love with this cabin; the rest is just icing on the cake!
What makes this Cabin unique
Blue Ridge Lake is just a short drive away and boasts an incredible marina for the boaters. The tail of the dragon is a ride, that bikers from all over, come to ride. Springer Mountain, just about a ten minute drive, is where the southern most part of the Apalacian trail begins. The tallest waterfall in the southeast is about a fifteen minute drive to the first hiking point. The Summer Olympics, of 1996, were held just about a thirty minute drive from Blue Ridge to the Ocoee White Water Center.

The property was beautiful. But not what we expected
The website should alot more then what we saw. It showed and said there was a canoe and boat on the property and there was a river right next to the cabin but the closest river was a few miles down the road. There was no phone service til you got into town so would have loved wifi so we could have keep in touch with our kids
Brenda, I’m not quite sure where you saw a canoe or boat on our property, nor is it advertised that we have one.(maybe you saw this on another property, prior to booking ours..??) Also, the website clearly states there is no WiFi at our cabin as it is surrounded by mountains and not offered in
Our area. We have never had complaints of lack of phone service, we have Verizon and always have service in our cabin. The guest book inside the cabin has a map as to
How to access the river from our community, though, we enjoy the short mile or so to Sandy Bottoms(public river access). I’m sorry our cabin is not what you expected.
We really enjoyed this cabin! It is beautiful just as the pictures shared. My husband and I enjoyed the master suite on a floor all by itself and our children thoroughly enjoyed the game room downstairs. The pool table was a huge hit for my teens. On the second night as we were all in the game room my husband noticed the fireflies outside. We all went outside and my children enjoyed watching and catching (we let them go) them. We started a fire in the outside firepit, and just sat out there enjoying the fire and fireflies. The view from each deck was amazing and I could sit outside our top deck for hours! It had a feeling of being very secluded while honestly not being too far from downtown Blue Ridge and the other activities. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed except for food of course and the cabin was clean upon arrival. I really loved the beautiful furnishings as well as the decor that you have added. We would definitely come back to your cabin.
Great place to stay for my family of 4. The cabin was clean and well taken care of. Linens were clean and soft, beds were nice. It rained while we were there, so it made the driveway a bit tricky. No problems for my Jeep, but recommend a AWD or 4x4 in heavy rain or snow. Dry conditions, any car should make it, just maintain your momentum. The cabin location is about 20-25 minutes from town, but located central to a lot of the outdoor activities in the area. Overall, we had a great time and will definately keep this one on our list of favorites in the area.
We are happy you enjoyed your stay. Thank you for the positive feedback! Now that the rain has slowed down we were able to get the driveway graded again so it should be good for any vehicle. I hope you visit us soon!
Enjoyable hiking vacation in mountains of Northern Ga.
Nice house, plenty of room for my wife and I, close to many towns in the Mountain area. Plenty of nice trails, very short walk to the river. No neighbors in sight, very quiet and felt completely safe.
Thank you for all the positive feedback! I am happy you enjoyed your stay and hope you visit again.
Great Place to Get Away
We were very pleased with the Fortune Seekers cabin. I went there for a weekend with my grandson and the accommodations were wonderful. I was able to have the upstairs to myself while my grandson stayed in the downstairs bedroom. Since there was a coffee maker on the second level, it was nice to be able to get up in the morning and fix a cup of coffee to drink while sitting on the second floor balcony enjoying the view without disturbing my grandson. It is located about 25 minutes away from the downtown area of Blue Ridge so it was in the peaceful countryside but close enough to easily get to things. Our evenings were spent playing pool in the game room and watching a movie which was provided at the cabin. The cabin was one of the cleanest I've ever stayed in. The only possible negative would be the cabin didn't have Wi-Fi but we were able to get phone signal at the cabin so that wasn't too detrimental. Overall an excellent value for the price!
Thank you so much for taking time to write a review. I’m happy your stay was pleasant! We hope
To have you as our guest in the future.
Exactly as the pictures showed, nice and relaxing.
Everything that the listing indicated, it was. The town of Blue Ridge in very nice, and not that far from the cabin (20 minutes about). This might seem weird, but by far this cabin had the best cookware I have every seen in a rental. Had to contact Cindy during the week and she responded very quickly. Thanks for letting us use your home.
Thank you so much for letting us know how much you enjoyed your stay! I certainly hope to have you back as our guest in the future!
