About the property

A Place Where Good Fortune, For The Mind, Body And Spirit, Is Found!!!

Enjoy this beautiful cabin that sits within the Tacooa River Estate, right off Old Dial Rd.. Bordering the national forest, minutes to the river, and sitting high on a hill top, you can see miles of mountain range, and a beautiful old dirt road that takes you through the estate. The estate has three fishing ponds and walking access to the Tacooa River! Beautifully furnished, and very comfortable, this cabin offers an entertainment room with TV and surround sound, a bar, and a pool table! The master suite has a king bed,a small sofa, and a TV. Each television has satellite, with the exception of the child's bunk area. Enjoy a cup of coffee, from the master coffee nook, without having to leave your master suite. Watch the news from the sofa in your bedroom or watch the sunrise from the deck right off the suite. There is a small bunk area for the little one, just off the master suite, with a twin bed, small play area and television for watching movies. The master bath is inviting with unique architect and decor, and has a jacuzzi tub that you literally sink right down into.

The kitchen is fully furnished and the cabin has a washer and dryer for your convenience. The bedroom on the main level is comfortably kept with a queen bed. The second bath is right off the second bedroom. The main level also has a beautiful deck which you can watch the sunrise, or wildlife from!

Activities outside the estate are endless! Enjoy a tubing or kayaking trip down the river, fish the banks, or wade in, to catch a trout or two, hike the waterfalls, or enjoy a day of skeet shooting. Feast at the magnificent restaraunts ( the Tacooa River Restaraunts is my favorite), enjoy shopping or riding the train in Blue Ridge, take a short trip to the casino in Murphy, and if you're really brave, ride the white water on the Ocoee while you're over there! For you bike riders, bring your bikes and ride the tail of the dragon! You'll need a week to do all the outdoor activities, but if rest and relaxation is what you're looking for, you'll never want to leave the tranquility of the cabin! Visit us in FACEBOOK :

About Cindy Reynolds

Nearing retirement, we have enjoyed more and more time in the mountains of Blue Ridge. We have a growing family and always look forward to special times we can all "play" together. Riding dirt roads and listening to the music of the rivers is one of our favorite things to do! Taking in as much of God's creation is absolutely tranquil and refreshing!

Cindy Reynolds purchased this cabin in 2015

Why Cindy Reynolds chose Blue Ridge

We fell in love with Fortune Seekers and are excited to share the good fortunes it brings to us, with you! It's peaceful, and offers so many things to do, from just a short walk to a 30 minute drive. This cabin borders the national forest, is within walking distance to ponds and river access, all within the estate. Fortune Seekers is the first cabin right beyond the Donaldson gate, therefore, just 2 minutes to the nearest small boat launch at Sandy Bottoms Recreation Area. Also just a bout 3-5 minutes to the nearest tubing site. Wildlife is bountiful and the long range mountain views are breathtaking! The air is fresh and the scenery is a topic of conversation while we gather at the dinner table. The unique architect through out the inside of the cabin, especially in the upstairs suite, is what made us fall in love with this cabin; the rest is just icing on the cake!

What makes this cabin unique

Blue Ridge Lake is just a short drive away and boasts an incredible marina for the boaters. The tail of the dragon is a ride, that bikers from all over, come to ride. Springer Mountain, just about a ten minute drive, is where the southern most part of the Apalacian trail begins. The tallest waterfall in the southeast is about a fifteen minute drive to the first hiking point. The Summer Olympics, of 1996, were held just about a thirty minute drive from Blue Ridge to the Ocoee White Water Center.

Very roomie cabin nestled in the words in gated property.

  • 5 of 5

The cabin is located on property with a security gate, which made my husband feel better about us leaving him for a girls weekend. A friend and I took our daughters (3) on a quick mother/daughter trip before school started. Plenty of space to be together and apart. I personally loved the top balcony off the bedroom because I was able to have a quite morning space to do yoga before our adventures began on the river. We brought our own tubes for tubing and the location was a short drive to where were would enter the river. We hope to come back. Thank you for sharing your beautiful cabin with us.

Enjoyable hiking vacation in mountains of Northern Ga.

  • 5 of 5

Nice house, plenty of room for my wife and I, close to many towns in the Mountain area. Plenty of nice trails, very short walk to the river. No neighbors in sight, very quiet and felt completely safe.

Great Place to Get Away

  • 4 of 5

We were very pleased with the Fortune Seekers cabin. I went there for a weekend with my grandson and the accommodations were wonderful. I was able to have the upstairs to myself while my grandson stayed in the downstairs bedroom. Since there was a coffee maker on the second level, it was nice to be able to get up in the morning and fix a cup of coffee to drink while sitting on the second floor balcony enjoying the view without disturbing my grandson. It is located about 25 minutes away from the downtown area of Blue Ridge so it was in the peaceful countryside but close enough to easily get to things. Our evenings were spent playing pool in the game room and watching a movie which was provided at the cabin. The cabin was one of the cleanest I've ever stayed in. The only possible negative would be the cabin didn't have Wi-Fi but we were able to get phone signal at the cabin so that wasn't too detrimental. Overall an excellent value for the price!

Exactly as the pictures showed, nice and relaxing.

  • 5 of 5

Everything that the listing indicated, it was. The town of Blue Ridge in very nice, and not that far from the cabin (20 minutes about). This might seem weird, but by far this cabin had the best cookware I have every seen in a rental. Had to contact Cindy during the week and she responded very quickly. Thanks for letting us use your home.

Had a amazing time. Very clean and orderly. I will highly recommend this cabin. If you have T-mobile your phone service it will not work until you come down the mountain.

Peacefully Beautiful

  • 5 of 5

Very impressed with the place and would definitely recommend it. The owners of the property were extremely helpful before and during our stay. There is no internet in the cabin which was perfect for us. It allowed us to disconnect from technology and enjoy the family. Do note, the closest grocery store is about 30 minutes away - not a problem for us, but just FYI. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and just the right size for four people. Again, I would recommend this location.
