About Beth McAnally and Jim Scantlin
Jim and I are empty nesters. Jim works in the IT field and I am retired from nursing. We are recent newcomers to the Port St. Joe, FL community. We are enjoying all the great natural beauty and seafood the area has to offer. We share three main hobbies. We love to travel and vacation . . . using HomeAway to get us to the beach as often as possible. We are also weekend warriors . . . enjoying all things home (my second career being in the Real Estate Staging industry). We have thoroughly enjoyed preparing and furnishing Sweet Breezes. Which, fits perfectly with our third hobby . . . we love to host and gather with friends to share a good meal, a good conversation and maybe a game of dominos. We were conscientious with every decision involved in making Sweet Breezes a truly restful getaway along with being a great gathering spot for friends and family. We look forward to sharing this new adventure and journey. Those of you that are old friends, we share keepsakes, memories and a peacefulness you will recognize . . . for our new friends, we offer you a relaxing retreat, the chance to take away sweet new memories and the words sheltering the front door . . . Never Settle. Enjoy the moments, Jim and Beth

Why Beth McAnally and Jim Scantlin chose Branson Theater District
Jim and I lived in NW Arkansas for many years. Branson was a frequent weekend destination. We have grown kids and sweet friends still living in the area. This opportunity became available and has become the perfect gathering place for our return visits to Branson.
What makes this Cabin unique
Sweet Breezes central location is one of its greatest assets. It is nestled in the quiet woods within The Cabins of Grand Mountain just off Hwy 76. It is protected by the woods but this quiet retreat is within walking distance to many of the activities and entertainment venues Branson has to offer. Shops and restaurants along Main Street and Branson Landing are all within a few miles of the cabin. The lakes and waterways surrounding Branson are also within close distance. Sweet Breezes has many conveniences close at hand but is protected and hidden by its setting in the woods.

The online description was on target. Quiet, quaint, and in a good location; center to everything we had planned to do during our stay. This cabin was perfect for a couple to get away. Had everything you needed. All you needed was your personal items and food and add ons to their starter items. We had no problem parking but to make it clear there are parking spots near each cabin but are not necessarily designated to a cabin. It’s basically first come first serve. The closest parking to “Sweet Breezes” is in front of cabin; however, cabin 277 is basically duplex to 279 but NOT. The walkway up to each are connected but front porches are separated by a petition. BUT, note we had neighbors with children and never heard a noise so the walls connecting the 2 cabins are apparently sound proof!!! The only 2 parking spots directly near to these 2 cabins are a handicap and a regular spot. However, there are other parking slots across the street in front of other cabins and slots in front of cabins on same side of the streets as “Sweet Breezes”. Again, because we arrived before our neighbors daily we were able to park in the regular spot next to the ramp connecting to the front porch. The cabin in itself was adorable, very clean, very well thought out for guest and the decor was comforting and sweet. We had an issue with the tv one morning but Jim contacted us immediately and helped us correct the issue. I assure you, they are super and attentive to their guest. We throughly enjoyed our stay there and will DEFINITELY GO BACK. One thing that could have been better which is out of the Jim and Beth’s control is a timer for porch lights management sets to go on late afternoon and throughout the night which even with blinds closed beamed through the door windows and blinds at night lightning up the interior making it hard for us to adjust to sleep being we usually sleep with it pitch black at night and the bed is in an open floor plan. But, that is minor but wanted to address it so if you too like it dark at night, perhaps bring night shades for your eyes. Perhaps they could install dimmer wattage bulbs where the brightness wouldn’t be as bad because it was quite bright. Other than that, it was PERFECT. Thank you Jim and Beth for allowing us to stay. We enjoyed it VERY MUCH and will refer anyone to stay here. We will be back!!! Thank you for making our stay memorable and enjoyable. Kirk & Paula
Lovely place. Felt at home away from home soon as we walked in. My wife and I had a great week!
Everything from the cost, the communication with owner, and all experiences in between was excellent. Would stay here again. Loved the colored lighting and the jacuzzi tub. Porch was nice in the mornings for coffee. Very roomy for a small place.
Not what they said it was. Might as well be in a duplex. Not a single unit. TV sucked. Noise was bad. Some guy mowing rocks? Lots of pa noise from local stores. Oh and by the way parking stinks! Will never go back.
First, let me say I’m sorry the cabin wasn’t a good fit for you and that you didn’t enjoy your stay. Your stay was over the 4th of July . . . one of the busiest tourist holidays of the year. Branson is set on the water front, family oriented and being a festive holiday will always be busier than a fall weekend in October.
Second, Per the 200+ other guests and repeat guests reviews, Sweet Breezes Cabin is as described and as all the photos show. We continually work hard to provide a comfortable retreat where folks can get away. We work quickly and fairly to remedy any issue ( within our control ) if it happens to come up. Ultimately . . . all the 5 STAR reviews speak for themselves!
Again, our apologies that your stay at our cabin didn’t work for you.
Beth and Jim
The only place to stay in Branson
What a great hidden gem this place is. Feels like you're 100 miles into the woods but yet seconds from anything you want to do in Branson, MO. Great place.
Great cabin and great location!!
This is a great cabin to stay in! It is very comfortable and clean!! It is centrally located so you are really close to all attractions and shops, yet is situated in such a way that you have privacy!! It was an excellent experience and we will definitely be try to use this cabin again on our future stays at Branson!!
This was a darling little cabin. We really loved the decorations, the location, and the back deck. Yes, would definitely recommend. It had all of the comforts of home and the locale was ideal.
