3 Bedroom, 3 Bath Private Home Close To The Beach
About Brian Hoskins
I met my wife in 1990 when I lived in Palm Bay and she lived in Eau Gallie. We both grew up in this area, and went to school here. We still have family and friends in this area who we have kept in contact with through the years. After starting a family in 1993 we then moved to Las Vegas, Nv. We always missed the beaches and the slower speed of life in central Florida. ( Even our home in Las Vegas looks like a beach house ).
Brian Hoskins purchased this House in 2016
Why Brian Hoskins chose Melbourne Beach
After our 4 kids graduated high school and moved on to college, we found we were coming back more and more often. Our friends asked what was the draw to come back and we found it was hard to explain. We decided to purchase a home to split our time between both coast, and allow our friends to see for themselves why we love it so much. Hoping to retire here in a few years, we hope others will see what we see in this beautiful area.
What makes this House unique
After looking at ALOT of properties, we wanted something that felt more like a home than a hotel. Having the pool made it so nice on the days that you wanted something a bit more private than the beach

Great house in a great location. Brian was great to work with to resolve any issues we had.
Great location. clean comfortable and welcoming home. Owner excellent to work with. One block from the beach and a swimming pool. Couldn’t ask for more. We will try to go back next year.
Spent 10 days 6-10-19 to 6-20-19 at this property, love the location, a bit noisy from the A1A during the day but night traffic was ok. A few interruptions as follows: pool guy, very loud cell conversations & lots of pacing for about 20 mins, not much pool cleaning, lawn guy early morning twice and the property manager unannounced & not very friendly looking for a piece of paper left by Lowes. The pool isn't covered so expect to have to do your own daily maintenance, snakes, bugs, leaves etc. Outdoor furniture has electrical tape wrapped around the bottom from rusting out, upstairs smoke detector missing & wires exposed, carpeting dirty & the living room rug has a big piece missing at the edge of the couch. Not as many supplies available that were listed by the owner, linens paper thin, pillows very uncomfortable. No information given for trash pick up and check in time was given for two different times. Tried to contact the owner but no response (not at all during the 10 days) so we took a chance and checked in 10 mins early. House could use a better coffee machine, Keurig maybe, the 10 cup drip model there was filthy and a blender would have been great. Overall a great vacation as we ate well at local restaurants, shopped for our retirement home, had convenient access to the beach & the river but expensive for the type of property & condition its in. Definitely needs to be better managed as the owner lives out of state and you can tell. Really needs a deep cleaning and new bed linens, towels & pillows. Love Melbourne Beach though & our main goal was to house shop which was a success. Overall a decent property, just needs some minor updates & some TLC.
One block to the beach
We stayed for a week at this 3 bedroom house with two adults, 2 kids and then 2 more adults at the end of the stay. Lots of pros and cons that I wish I was aware of before we booked.
So easy to walk to the beach, the river, the Melbourne Beach market, bars and restaurants. There was plenty of room to spread out inside the house. The inside of the house is cute and the kitchen, living rooms and master bath are beautiful. Air conditioning worked great throughout the house. The owners provided lots of appreciated basics in the kitchen and there were pool and beach supplies as well.
I’m not sure I how I didn’t notice that this house is located ON A1A. If you are not a light sleeper and you don’t mind CONSTANT hwy noise day and night, it will not be an issue. This made an impact on our ability to enjoy the outside in the backyard or on the decks. It feels like you’re on a fwy.
The house needs a good professional cleaning and an upgrade on linens and pillows. The pool was green and not swimmable on arrival but the owners did have a pool maintenance person who was able to get it clean within a couple of days.
This is the second time we’ve stayed at this house and we loved it as much as the first time! Brian is absolutely the nicest, most kind, caring owner in all the years we’ve stayed at VRBO properties!
Great time in Melbourne beach!
The house was perfect for our family and grand child. The house was spacious, clean, comfortable and had everything needed. The proximity to the beach and the village made it so convenient and of course the heated pool and screened porch made the afternoons and evenings perfect for just hanging around the house after the day on the beach. Hope to return to this location and thanks for the great time! Randy and Peggy, Ontario Canada.
