Lovely and cosy Formosa apartment is just 5 min walking distance from S. Marco's Square and the Rialto Bridge. It' s located just few steps from Santa Maria Formosa one of the most characteristic place in Venice, in a typical Venetian building. Recently restored the apartment, of about 50 m², consists in a large open space with kitchen and living (with high wood beaming ceiling), satellite TV and double sofa bed. Kitchen is furnished with fridge and freezer, gas stove, microwave, dishwasher. The main bedroom has a King size bed, large wardrobe. Bathroom with bathtub and washing machine. Very original and prestigious ceilings represented by a truss structure. Parquet floor. Air conditioning, fan and cradle available on request. All the rooms are very bright as lighted up by several windows. Supermarket, shops, restaurants, bars, pubs, just nearby.
Shopping: We are just around the corner from a Venetian supermarket, less than 1 min walk away. Shopping for food couldn't be easier. If you like fresh food go to the very famous Rialto mercato a daily food market (no Sunday) crammed with just fished fish, fresh fruit and vegetables just off Rialto bridge. Nearby the apartment there are various other small food outlets scattered around where you can buy meats, cheese, bread, etc. This will be a more interesting although challenging shopping experience than the supermarket. You will find many top brand shops antique and gift shops.

Despite the rain, we had a great time in Venise (it was our 2nd time) and the Apartment Formosa was just PERFECT: it was centrally located, comfortable (once we figured out the boiler), it had everything we needed and Gloria was always available when we needed..
I would not hesitate to recommend it to my friends
thank you for everything
My wife & I stayed there for 5 nights. It was very comfortable for two adults All the modern conveniences of home (including a dishwasher and AC. The location was great. Close to San Marco Square and the Rialto bridge. It was a bit of a climb on the stairs to the apartment. The host was on time and very accommodating. Highly recommended! If ever back in Venice we would try to stay at this apartment. Thanks Luca
This was by far our favorite apartment on our multi-city trip. It was very comfortable for two adults and two teenagers. All the modern conveniences of home (including a dishwasher) but still had Italian charm. The bathroom was very roomy and the beds were comfortable. Everything was VERY clean including the bathroom. There was an AC in both the main rooms which kept the apartment cool and comfortable. The microwave was a nice touch that we didn't have in other apartments although we didn't really use it. There is a nice size washer and a clothes line outside the windows to dry clothes. The views out the windows were very pretty and the location was great. Close to San Marco Square and the Rialto bridge. It was a bit of a climb on the stairs but we enjoyed the extra exercise and it wasn't as bad as other Italian apartments. The host was on time and very accommodating. They even printed our Ryan air boarding passes for us and brought them to us the next day for no charge (we just gave the girl a tip). We will definitely stay at this apartment on our next trip to Venice where it will just be me and the hubby. Highly recommended!
It's great cozy apartment in the heart of Venice. It's very comfortable and have everything you need to fully enjoy Venice vacation. There is a plenty of room for 2-3 people.
Welcoming party is always great, even if there are some delays with arrivals.
We stayed there twice in 2013 and 2015 and will try to get it again when we happen to be in Venice. Highly recommended
Apartment is just perfect: warm and stylish. Has everything you need to have a great several days long stay in Venice!
We came to Venice to do the Venice Marathon in Oct 2014. The reason for choosing this apartment was because it had a bathtub and we wanted to know we'd be able to soak our weariness away after the run!
The other reason for choosing the apartment was because it was close to waterbus stops at Rialto and San Marco - we knew we'd need to have good transport links so we could get picked up by the marathon buses very early on the Sunday morning.
It turned out that our choice was an excellent one.
The apartment was very spacious and the kitchen had enough facilities for breakfast and lunch. You could probably make dinner there too and eat at the breakfast bar but there are lots of restaurants right on the doorstep so we just ate out.
The living area is open plan kitchen/living room and there is plenty of room for two people to spread out and relax.
The bathroom was nice and big too - the bathtub was most welcome and the shower worked fine too. There was also a washing machine in the bathroom which we used.
The bedroom had lots of storage and the bed was big and comfortable.
We arrived late in the evening but met up with our greeter with no problems - we'd got off at the wrong Rialto stop but had been given a mobile number to call and the greeter came straight away to where we were. We had lots of helpful communication from Luca before we arrived too!
The location of the apartment was excellent. The entrance was in a little back lane off Salizada San Lio which has lots of restaurants and there's a supermarket on the next corner. You can walk to San Marco or Rialto in about 10 minutes as the apartment is mid-way between both attractions - both are on the main waterbus line too so you can easily get to all parts of the city.
I would highly recommend this apartment and will use it again if I return to Venice - thanks Luca!
Its a great location. The Rialto bridge and St. Mark's Square are just a few mins away. Supermarket and restaurants are right down the ever-bustling lane. The apartment in itself is very good, exactly as depectied in the description and pictures you see here. The 3 flight of stairs could be a challenge, especially with people who travel heavy, or have health issues. Operating the shower requires some skill. The welcome party was very helpful - our flight was delayed by 2 hours, but we had no problems in calling and changing the meet-up time at the Rialto. We loved Venice and will definately recommend this apartment for anyone who needs to a comfortable stay in the city-centre.
Formosa Apartment is very centrally located, in the true heart of Venice, for a comfortable stay nearby the most interesting points of Venice: S.Marco's Square and Rialto Bridge are just about 5 min walking distance from Formosa Apartment. Few steps away from the lively Santa Maria Formosa Square, well known for its outdoor bars, pubs and restaurants, and the Salisada San Lio for shopping. From the Formosa apartment, you really will be able to enjoy Venice the legendary lagoon city, full of history and with an immense cultural and artistic heritage.
The typical 'palazzi', the canals and the gondolas create a suggestive atmosphere that you can find only in few other places in the world.
